I let her go. It's late by now, but somehow I don't feel like retreating to the cabin. Not at all. So I go to the helm and I dismiss the crewmember steering.

That night I fall into a lightsleep, a sleep in which I dream a lot. About Jack, and me when we were younger. The first night that we ever got drunk. Kids. Playful. Harmless. I kissed him that night. My first kiss. His first kiss. He hated it. Acted weird. I think I fell in love that night...

When it's long past midnight I'm still updecks, alone, and silent. I'm sitting on the steps to the helm. The wheel is secured with a rope, and I'm looking at the dark water thoughtfully

I'm still asleep, sometimes waking up from the dreams I have. But I don't leave the cabin, especially not at nighttime..

I'm wondering how to solve this, basically. Which quite seems impossible at the time. "Dammit." I mumble at the dark of the night. (if you're here.. I'm not! Studying )

Three days later our journey is over, we're almost entering the port. I go updecks and look around, I see the port and a small smile comes upon my face..

I'm at the helm again, my eyes fixed on the land ahead.

I have a small bag in my hand. In there I have the most necessary things. My brush, a couple of clothes and some money that I found somewhere I lean on the rail and watch the land approach. This will be where my new future has to be. Eventhough I am scared of a future without Jack, a future on my own and with a lot of possible failings, I still feel that it is better then to stay here with Jack. I've had nightmares the last two nights, all because of one foolish mistake of him. I wish this could have been different but it's not ant it won't be.
