"Shut up." I tell her with a grin, cos I know what's on her mind as she laughs. For a second we just stand there, looking at one another.. both with our own reasons to be content, relieved, or even happy for the moment. I have reason enough, as it were.. by simply not being dead just yet.

"No salty seawater, if you please." I warn her, cos I'd never fully get used to her and her mermaid antics. I smile slightly and take a hold of her hand which was touching my cheek ever so lightly. I brush a kiss on the knuckles.
