"A herd of redcoats..." Cari said as she stuck her head out of the exhibit looking left and right and stepping out, "Cari Derrin" she blew a hair out of her face and wiped the plaster dust off.

Elizabeth rolled her eyes, not happy with the answer she received... she felt eyes on her and looked up to see Will looking at her,
"What?"
Will was giving her a dark look,
"Lizbet... just.... be nice okay ? For 5 minutes??"

Cari had just stepped out of the exhibit when she saw a marine officer pass by the entrance of the hallway they were in. She froze hoping he hadn't seen her. But, suddenly she twitched, "Owww! Involunatary muscle spasm!"
The officer heard her and stopped; aiming his rifle, "HAULT OR I'LL SHOOT!" he shot his rifle off.
It barely missed her, "DEAR GOD! Give me time to hault!"
The officer lowered his rifle.
'THANK YOU!" she took off running hoping to cause a diversion for Liz and Will; so they wouldn't bee seen by the redcoats. "LIKE I'D HAULT ANYWAY!"

Will watched...
"Damn it!!!"
He grabbed Elizabeth and started to climb up to the second floor balcony with his wife following him, well, beside him.
"Who the bloody hell--- why --"
Elizabeth gave up on asking questions as Will pulled her over the side of the balcony onto the floor, seeing as he was a little ahead of her

Cari rounded a corner and smack right into Beckett. She fell backwards from the impact.
He grabbed her by the wrist and hauled her to her feet. "What have we here?" he rolled up her sleeve to reveal no P. He looked at the marines, "...she's not a pirate. Ah! But I can fix that..." he waved his free and at a marine who brought forth a red hot branding rod; the end curled to form a P.
Cari let out a yell, trying to wrench her arm free as she watched the marine come closer.
((OOC: only playing beckett till someone claims him))

Elizabeth's voice was followed by the cocking of a pistol's hammer, readying the gun for shooting -- Will's gun.
Will looked up at his wife surprised, and patted his body down, just to find that she had stolen his pistol from him...

Beckett rolled his eyes, "If we keep having these little meetings, Ms. Swann, you'll be the next branded a pirate..."
Cari had wrench her arm away in time. She lunged forward; grabbing the end of the branding rod that wasn't hot and jabbed it at Beckett.
Beckett recoiled in pain and stepped back. Burnt, blistering, bloody skin in the shape of a P between his eyes. "YOU LITTLE HELL CAT!"

"That's Mrs. Turner you little twerp!"
Elizabeth moved to march forward to the screaming Beckett - but her arm was caught by Will. She turned her head, her hair flipping as she looked at him
"What are you doing Will?"
"I don't want you - no... I won't let you get branded a pirate... besides, he wasn't worth it in 1727... he's not worth it now either."
He rubbed his thumb over her arm gently
Elizabeth sighed softly...
"You're right... as usual"

Cari glared at the marines; waving the rod around. "BACK OFF OR YOU'LL END UP LIKE HIM!"
Anger flared up in Beckett, when Cari's back was turned to him, as he unsheathed his sword.
