Cari peeked out from under the front counter. When she saw the pistol she hid again. Thinking, She didn't see me...She didn't see me...She didn't see me... I'm not gonna get shot...I'm not gonna get shot...I'm not gonna get shot...

Julia approached slowly but steadily towards the counter. Pistol never leaving her hand. Once she was in front of the counter: BAM! she smashed her fist against the counter hoping to scare the girl from her hiding place.

Cari screamed and lunged out from under the counter; knocking Julia over by accident.
"Sorry!" she gasped out; backing up, "Don't shoot me!"

Julia scrambled to get up from the floor. She heard the girl apologize and watched her back away. Julia cocked and eyebrow at the girl and putting the pistol to her side asked her: "Who the hell are ye?"
