Lydia swallowed hard, everything getting blurry. The pain was too much.

"Lydia, talk to me. Don't go to sleep." The birth was coming along good. If she acted this way through the contractions, she would faint during labor.

Beckett said nothing....he just stared, he didn't want anyone to know the REAL him behind the mask. Lydia hadn't replied to what her mother said, she remained still, but the child was detirmined to be born, so it kept coming.
