Jack chuckled. "Well..." he noticed Liz walking along the shore where the water met the sand. "I think I'll make it up to 'er, then..."
He hurried off and Scarlett stared at him in disgust.
"Lizbeth," he yelled. Elizabeth ignored him and kept walking along.
"Lizbeth!" he yelled again. Elizabeth continued to ignore him and picked up a scuttling crab. She then sat down on the wet sand and pushed it into the next tide. Jack finally caught up with her.
"I-" he began, but Elizabeth gave him a stern look. "I'm only here to apologize," he said.
"For what? For taking away from me, one thing that I wasn't sure I wanted to give?" said Elizabeth. "Look, I know it's not entirely your fault, and I slightly contributed to the cause, but you're Captain Jack Sparrow. You should have at least thought about how I'd feel later!"
Jack nodded glumly.

Jack bent hhis head down."Lyz I-"he began,"Go Jack!"she yelled.He slumped down and walked back to the Pearl. Scarlett looked at him with anger, but he could see the sympathy lurking beneath it."I really messed up didn't I Scarlett?"he said.
"Look Jack,"she sighed sitting him down on the bed,"I can't say you knew better, I mean you've been with me for so long and I'm not exactly waiting for marriage."she said hanging her head.

"Righ', well, I think I'll talk it out again," he said.
Scarlett stared at him. Doesn't he take a hint the first time?
"Lizbeth," he said.
"Oh, come to taunt me again?" she asked.
"I wasn't taunting you, I want to make it up to you. I'll give you anything you want," he said.
"Fine," said Elizabeth. She had an idea. "I want you never to leave me and to be loyal to me."
Jack's mouth dropped. "What?"
Elizabeth said, "Yes."
Jack closed his mouth and said, "That can be easily arranged, Miss Hartford." She nodded and took his hand.
"I won't restrict you Jack, you can be with other women when I am not around," she said. "But you can't leave me forever."
Jack sighed. "Oh good."
"Fixed up?" asked Scarlett.
"Oh yes," he said.
Elizabeth shook her head and mouthed "NO," before Jack could look and made a funny face. Scarlett started to laugh.

Scarlett laid out on the deck.She stretched out her back and smiled."I love this ship!"she said.closing her eyes to let the warmth of the sun spread throughout her body.

For the whole time that had passed, Katie had been directing the boat. The others were having their 'fun', but she was being serious. She let out a small yawn. She felt like she had been doing this forever, and still had a life time of doing this ahead of her.

Scarlett opened one eye.She saw Katie walk slwly past her with a yawn.Scarlett smiled and tugged her down to the floor."What the bloody he-"Katie started to say before Scarlett interupted her."Just breathe she said calmly."Scarlett always did this to get rid of her hangovers.

Jack walked with his drunken swagger to the helm of the ship with Elizabeth. Secretly he thanked Scarlett for telling him to spend some time with her alone, that way Elizabeth wouldn't feel so much as to shoot him every other second.
"...and of course they made me their cheif," he said.
"Honestly, Jack, do you ever talk about anything but yourself to others, namely women?" Elizabeth said bluntly.
"I don' reckon," he said, shrugging.

Scarlett hugged Katie."I'm sorry for not spending as much time with you."she said.
Katie wiped a tear from her eye."I thought you didn't love me any more!"she laughed.She hadn't really talked to Scarlett in a while.This little heart-to-heart they were having brought her tears of relief.

Jack and Elizabeth's little break was finally mended. They were laughing hard, arms locked, walking along the shore.
"And then, and then he stuck the cutlass right in the coconut instead of my head! Well, no one could blame him, he has a bad sense of vision," said Jack, earning more laughs. Finally, when Elizabeth's laughs died away, they kissed. It proved they were mended.
"Nothing more," Elizabeth said, breaking away, still laughing at the thought of that enemy of Jack's.

"So Jack got Liz mad huh?" Katie looked over the side of the boat. "Looks like their happy now!" She laughed a little and watched Jack and Liz walk on the shore line."Heh! I say we have some fun!" Katie took out her pistol, and shot a round right by Jack's foot. Once she was done, she hid. Jack wouldn't know what the blood hell hit 'em!
