Things were getting bad, between my daughter and my...huh, I meant Delilah. I didn't like that.
"They're comin' with us." I said, with a 'no-replic' tone. "We need ev'ry smart brain in that journey, an' my daughter's one 'ell o' a smart gal!" I proudly added.
I anxiously looked at them.

Em smiled."Thanks dad."she said, feeling pride swelling up in her heart.She gave them two seperate pairs of sheets."Dad you can sleep in my room, er Delilah can sleep in the guest room and I'll sleep in Kaliegh's bed.Er unless you'd like to share a room."

I was shivering. Why? I wasn't cold, nor anxious. Maybe...
I hoped Delilah'd accept, even if it chances were thiny. ...Hum, more than thiny; probably unbelievable! Still, I glanced at her, waiting her reaction.

The next morning when I got up I saw that Jack and I were the only ones up. He was at the table drinking his rum. "Good morning..." I said tiredly and nicely to tired to snap and sat next to him
