[Side note:
This RP takes place after the ending of the Dark Knight.
It is based on the characters in the movie, so both Harley and the Joker are much more darker than they appear in the cartoons.]

After the death of Two-Face and the sudden disappearance of Batman, the Joker had gone back to headquarters and started his plans from scratch. With no more Batman to go after, at least not for a while, the Joker goes back to ripping off mob dealers and causing general mayhem in the city of Gotham along with his henchmen and partner in crime, Harley Quinn.

Harley Quinn




Harlene Quinzelle was a brilliant and successful criminal psychiatrist. After encountering the criminal mastermind, The Joker, at Arkham Asylum, Harlene develops a fascination with the madman's maniacal psyche. She begins to treat him, only to find herself completely under The Joker's control. Unable to break his hold on her, Harley enters a world of crime as The Joker's criminal accomplice and lover, Harley Quinn.

Harley quickly becomes one of the Dark Knight's deadliest enemies, as she carries out The Joker's every evil whim. She develops a villainous friendship with Poison Ivy and the two become sisters-in-crime by virtue of their shared hatred for male domination in the criminal underworld.

Although her true personality has been subjugated by The Joker, beneath it all Harley remains a sweet lovable person. Upon her arrest, she is deemed mentally unbalanced and sent to Arkham Asylum - not as the brilliant doctor she once was, but as one of Gotham's criminally insane on the other side of the padded cell.

The Joker



The most evil, deranged, and flat out psychotic of all comic book villains, The Joker is the primary antagonist of Batman. He is the complete opposite of Batman, in everything from appearance, to ideals. The Joker views killing as sport, and will not hesitate to toy with his food before he eats it, even if said food are the men he has hired to work for him. As intimidating as he is psychotic, he still manages to recruit hordes of henchmen despite his maniacal insanity.

His methods are unpredictable and incalculable. He does things according to his own twisted sense of logic, and does not desire money. If there was one thing that he did desire, it would be the power to instill anarchy into Gotham by any means necessary, proving that organization is meaningless and futile. He is an exceptionally intelligent man, and this tends to be his greatest weapon against Batman, the police, and the District Attorney's office. He is often confronted by the authorities, but easily evades capture due to sick and twisted mind games he plays on them, all full of mystery. While Batman prefers to stay in the shadows, The Joker basks in the spotlight, often broadcasting himself to the public and media outlets.

This RP doesn't really have a plot, it just mainly focuses on the Joker's life after DK - just general mayhem he spreads around Gotham forcing people to "get the punchline." I just kinda wanna see where it goes.

Introducing, straight from her burnt out cement factory turned greenhouse, Poison Ivy.





History:
Born Pamela Isley, she was a student working on her graduate degree in organic chemistry when her botanical biochemistry professor tricked her and injected her with a serum of plant toxins and ancient medicinal herbs, causing her transformation. She spent months ill from the serum, hallucinating, betrayed, and isolated she went mad. When she awoke from her stupor she was in Arkham Asylum.

Now:
Today she is free, living in the industrial complex near Joker's headquarters to be closer Harley Quinn, her only human companion. She hates the Joker because he abuses Harley (though she has also in the past,) and because she hates humans.


Personality
Ivy is obsessive and controlling. She cares for Harley and plants, and, though she has no want to kill Batman or other heros, she thinks of humans as vermin which have cut down plants and paved over nature. She plans to reclaim Gotham city, if she could think straight long enough to really plan anything. She is egotistical and demeaning. She is prone to monologues, often speaking to her plants, and murdering older men for fun.
