Addy grinned a little, "This should be fun." She mused at the men, winking at a few, just for some fun.

Jack rolled his eyes at Addy, chuckling softly to himself.
"So, scurvy dogs, who's worthy enough to sail aboard the best ship in the entire ocean?" - Jack called out to the men loudly, glancing at them and raising an eyebrow. Apparently, no one was: they were shabby, obviously not strong enough to fight and not trained. - "Are there any men in this crowd of ---" - Jack was about to say 'women' but caught Addy's look just in time to come up with another word that wouldn't offend her, - "... newborns?"

"Think I might be worthy of that." A voice spoke up from the crowd of grungy men as he pushed himself forward through the line, appearing between a couple of old geezers, "At least I was last time." He grinned handsomely with his dark eyes and dark hair.
"Landon!" Addy giggled in an excited way, throwing her arms around her old flame's neck and kissing his lips, "Where have you been!?"
Landon smirked and put his arms around her, "Ah, just off wandering the world a bit." He glanced at Jack, "But I heard you might need a navigator to get you where yer goin'. I can do that, ya know?"

"Aye, I happ'n ter know that very well, mate", - Jack raised an eyebrow looking Landon all over, from his head to his feet. He definitely was an experienced navigator, he knew his job well enough and he looked different from this crowd of useless and incapable drunkards. But Landon also was Addy's ex-lover and, as far as Jack remembered, their 'goodbye' wasn't exactly friendly.
Jack made a grimace. Finding a good navigator here was highly unlikely. He could work with maps and charts himself, though... but, after all, if Landon became a pain in the ass again, Jack could easily leave him in any other port, dismissing from the Pearl.
"Ye're accepted", - he said shortly. Sometimes business came first, not emotions.

Landon grinned at that, "Thanks, Captain." The words came out easily enough and he turned his eyes to look at Addy, "Missed ye, and yer pretty face."
Addy smirked at him, "But you're back now, right?"
"Seem to be." He checked himself over now, "Aye, all parts here."

"Pity", - Jack chuckled, casting quite a meaningful look at Landon't crotch. - "I thought ye'd be a eunuch, would suit ye well", - he joked darkly.

Addy rolled her eyes at Jack and smirked back at Landon, "Well, I'm glad all your parts are here." She patted his chest, "Jack's just being grumpy because he can't find himself a crew."
Landon grinned slightly, "Shame. Don't know who wouldn't want to be on the Pearl."

"Jack's not being grumpy", - he mimicked Addy in a high voice. - "This crowd o' drunkards is really nothin' like pirates, can't take this scum aboard me ship, now can I?" - he asked, rhetorically though, needing no answer.

Addy glanced at Jack a bit, still with a smirk on her lips and still standing in Landon's arm, seemingly comfortable to be there, though she hardly noticed it.
"I think he is grumpy." Landon said by Addy's ear before kissing it, causing her to laugh a little, but still playfully push him away.

Some time passed and Jack managed to find several men that looked able to keep a sword in their hands and use it. Some of them had been involved in piracy before, some of them - former merchants, there was even one former Navy-officer who Jack hated to accept, but had to, because he badly needed any crewmembers, just for the number.
"Anyone left?" - he glanced around the tavern, quite tired of this boring business. "I am!" - a high voice sounded determined. "Who ye?" - Jack asked, raising an eyebrow at a young man who looked more like a boy - not too tall, small-framed. "Victor".
After a few minutes of hesitation Jack accepted Victor, too. He could do some simple work aboard, Jack figured. Damn, what a motley, weak crew I 'ave now... - he thought darkly. - "And tha' bastard, Landon....
