Redemption

"Fallen Angel?"
he quickly looked up at Damon and then at Serafina

Damon rolled his eyes and gave Serafina a 'was-that-neccessary'-look. He quickly looked back at Lucas again;
"I haven't lied one bit to you"
Which was true...but then again he hadn't really talked all that much yet..

He looked suspicious now
"...what would you lie about?"
He looked at Serafina again, as to seek an explanation

[Devyn]

Serafina was glad to explain.
"You see, Lucas... Damon wants to take you down to Hades with him. He's a Fallen Angel. I'm the opposite, from the Elysian Gates. That's where you belong."

He looked back at Damon

".... oh come on, just because I'm fallen doesn't mean I'm evil! I wouldn't trick you into anything, I'm just simply telling you some options you have, cause you don't seem like you fully know that you do have options"

He looked at him and frowned slightly
"The Elysian Gates..."
he looked at Serafina
"I didn't think I was good enough to get there"

He interupted again
"See, that's the stupid thing with that place, the Elysian Gates, you don't get to be yourself there! They point fingers at you and things like that...really nasty place, really"
He paused and watched him
"but of course... you wouldn't know of any different place"
He looked nonchalant at his nails

"...what different place? I've only heard about the Elysian Gates, I know Zeus is my father, why wouldn't I belong there?"

He looked back at him
"That's the thing. If you really did belong there...why are you here?"

Lucas got quiet. He didn't have an answer for that

[Devyn]

Serafina held back a growl in her throat, knowing better than to lose her temper with Lucas around.
"Don't listen to him, Lucas. Damon doesn't know anything of Elysian Gates, he's never been there."
She looked at Damon and raised a brow.
"Isn't that right? Straight to Hades for you?"

He didn't allow himself to lose his temper either as he looked at her and gritted his teeth slightly, but said as if what she had said didn't bother him:
"It has it advantages"
he looked back at Lucas
"For instance, you don't have to keep doing any of those lists.."

Lucas looked down at his list and then up at Damon again

"And this whole thing with Hades is overrated, what would Serafina here know about anything else?"

"wait, wait..!"
he looked at them both and pointed at Damon
"You've never been to the Elysian Gates.."
he pointed at Serafina
"And you've never been with Hades.....why do you try to talk me into joining any of you?"
he got curious now

Damon sighed slightly
"It's not about joining anything. As I said, I'm just giving you options. I let you see the whole picture, while others.."
he glanced quickly at Serafina
"..only lets you see a certain part and tells you where you belong. She told you didn't she? That you belonged somewhere? What does she know about that, just cause your father happens to be a God? Does that gives anyone the right to control you in any way? Lucas, you said it yourself, you're a grown man! I'm just giving you another view of things...it's your choice"

Once again Damon silenced Lucas. There was something terrible wrong with what he said, but yet something that felt so terrible right at the same time...

In his mind Damon grinned. He knew he had a power to manipulate and he could make almost anything he say sound extremely trustworthy

[Devyn]

Serafina was quiet for a moment, but then she figured the right thing to say.
"Listen to me, Lucas."
She said in a soft voice, one you wanted to listen to with everything you had in you.
"Damon isn't telling you the whole truth. Granted, yes, I've never been to Hades, nor would I want to go. But the truth is his goal is that of Hades, himself. They want to use you. Use something that you don't even know you have. The ability to redempt an angel. A Fallen Angel."
Her eyes flashed at Damon.
"One that doesn't deserve to get back into the Elysian Gates. That, Lucas, is why Damon speaks so kindly to you now. You are nothing but a pawn to them."

Damon growled slightly but grinned when Lucas looked back at him

"...you're the evil one.."

"Now, wait a minute and let us think about that for a minute..!"

"I'm done, I don't wanna hear anything more, I've got a job to do--"

"She's right"
He interupted him

Lucas sighed and got quiet

Damon looked at him and then at Serafina
"She's right. You have a gift that is hightly wanted for Hades, but, also for Zeus himself"
He looked at Lucas and shook his head
"No, this has nothing to do with a father wanting his son to join him by his side, as much as it has to do with me wanting you to really think about your options then, if you look at it like that..."
He stepped closer to Lucas
"You have a power you don't even know of. The ability to redempt angels, as she said. That's what Zeus really want. He didn't give you that list to make you feel like you're doing something good, he couldn't care less to be honest. All that matters to him, is that you do what you're told so he can use you"
His voice got a bit lighter now as he said;
"I don't know about that, but it doesn't seem very loving from a father..."

Lucas opened his mouth to speak back, but once again he didn't know what to say really... Damon had hit a sensitive spot within Lucas; The talk about a father. He had always felt like he missed something in his life, a father..eventhough Zeus was there, still he never really was and it had made Lucas question a lot about if he actually did see him as a son or not..

[Devyn]

Serafina's lips pursed together and her eyes narrowed slightly-- but it was the only indication that she gave that she was well so pissed off at what Damon had brought up.
"Lucas, let's stop fighting over you, shall we? I'm sure you're confused... and I think it's be best if you went about your list now."
Her sharp eyes went to Damon.
"Damon and I need to speak with one another."

Well, it's a long list anyway..I've got time[/b]
"Absolutely"
he replied to Serafina and didn't make a fuss about anything now. He turned to Lucas and shrugged
"Options. Think about it"
Then he spread his wings slightly, as birds do when they've been having them close to their bodies for too long, like to stretch them for a second, and he walked over to Serafina and left Lucas behind looking at them and then down at his list

Serafina glanced at his wings and smirked a bit.
"Hope you're not trying to impress me. Mine are bigger."
