"... Will you *please* restrain yourself, woman?" I look at her, rather embarassed myself that she's decided to start doing this in public. I'm so distracted I barely hear the other's discussion at all.I nod a little, smiling over at the door as the maid comes in with the tea.Mary settles it down on a table between them, pouring a cup for each person, and a smaller one for Maria.I watch it carefully. It better be the tea from earlier .

"I'm sorry, my love," I mumble into his ear, "I will try to control myself better," I smirk slightly, placing a soft kiss on his ear before getting up and moving to the chair opposite. I reach for a cup of tea and sip is silently.
I look at the cup of tea in my hand quite curiously. I didn't understand the obsession the English seem to have with tea, it's not exactly a most appetising drink. I'd prefer a glass of red wine anyday, but I shant complain. I take a sip. "Lovely tea," I fake a smile.

I can tell when he's putting on a smile and smirk to myself because of it.. sipping my drink silently, as I keep an eye on Maria.
I simply raise an eyebrow and drink it, silently.

Maria stares at her tea cup before putting it down again without drinking it, "Mama! Mama! Can I have some wine Mama?"

I glance between them all and then over to Katherine. I can see what she's getting at. I suppose it was a only matter of time until she got all.. womanly around seeing the children. I, for one, think it's a bit pathetic of her. If she wanted children, she should have made the effort some years ago, not now we have no money, and little left to support even the idea of it.

I keep my eyes intently on Edward as the others talk, watching him over my cup of tea.
"Maybe it's time Maria retired to bed with her brother and sister," I tell Elisabeth. "No papa! It's too early!"

"It is true, what you father says. You've been travelling for the last few days. You shall be tired." I tell her, "Drink your tea first, and then we'll see."
I can tell she's watching me, and I find it embarassing more than anything.

Maria sips her tea as slowly as possible, trying to delay bedtime as long as possible. She swing her legs back and forth happily.
