"Welcome to my world. You can help me teach the children, if you like."

I nod a little. "I'm not sure how I can help ... but I will try," I say, a little nervous, I never spent any time with the children before, let alone tried to teach them anything.

I simpley nod and lead him back into the quarters, where the children have given up with their work and begun arguing and fighting with eachother again. Amelie sits in the middle of the row, crying, whilst Maria and Louis yell.

When I see the children arguing I pick Louis up under my good arm and take him away from Marie. "Louis, be quiet," I tell him sternly, sitting him down in the corner of the room.

They all seem rather startled by his interferance, because it's usually down to their mother to helplessly control them thesedays. Maria and Louis go silent and Amelie runs over to her mother.

I look up, startled when they all suddenly go silent. "That's better," I say, thinking their sudden good behaviour had something to do with me splitting them up rather than just me being here.

I go to sit on a chair with Amelie in my arms still, reaching for the book I'd been helping her with.. "Maria continue to read, please."

I sit in the chair opposite the sofa watching for a while, not really sure how I'm supposed to help. I watch Marie read, amazed how good she is at it already. I've produced a genius. I look to Elisabeth for a hint of what I should do to help.

I feel his eyes on me and look over to him for a moment, "Help Louis."

I frown a little but pick up a book on politics. I sit by Louis and give it to him to read, not really sure what I'm supposed to do to help, but I follow Louis' lead.
Jane answers the front door to see a man she did not recognise standing on the doorstep. "Good..." The man checks his watch. "Morning, I believe your master is expecting me," Jane lets him in leads him to the sitting room, where Lady Katherine is sitting. She pours the stranger a cup of tea. I glance up and frown at Jane, Edward had not told me we were expecting anymore guests. "He says the master is expecting him," Jane mumbles to the Lady. "Then go and tell the master his guest has arrived," I roll my eyes are her stupidness. "Yes, ma'am," Jane bows and goes to Edwards study, knocking on the door.
