I glance over to Katherine as she enters, listening between the men and their conversation.

I talked with Albin and Edward for a while about France and politics while I drank my tea.
I, like Elisabeth, sat silently watching the men. For once I behaved myself, because I knew how important this Albin man was to the success of this little mission, and to us getting out money.

I discuss a lot of things, until the tea runs out and awkwardly we sit there, carrying on conversation until the maid takes it all away, "So, If you would follow Jane she will show you to your quarters." I instruct Albin as we all stand.

Albin nods, "Thank you for you kind hospitality, sir," He shakes Edwards hand again. "And it was a pleasure to meet you both," He nods to Elisabeth and Gaspard, completely, and accidentally, ignoring Katherine, before following Jane to his quarters.
"And we should go and see to the children," I say, glancing at Elisabeth, looking for any excuse to leave.

"Oh.. Yes. We don't want to distract the maids any further." I agree, getting up.

I shut the door behind us and take her hand again, walking quickly through the coridoors. "Thank the Lord that's over with," I say to Elisabeth, laughing a little. "You know, I'm sure I recognised his face but I can't place it ..." I frown but shake my head. "Nevermind, it hardly matters now,"

"Indeed.. Very strange though, I mean... These people do not seem very hospitable. Though they invite all of us over here out of the blue."

I stop and frown. "Now that you mention it ... you're right. They can't even get along with each other, and don't exactly seem the most social people. I wonder what motivated them to take all of us in," I shrug. "but I suppose that's not for us to worry about,"

"Maybe.. maybe they expect money from us." I shrug, speaking my mind quite wildly, as we walk into our bedroom, "After we've left, I mean. Maybe they expect us to be in some sort of service to them."

I nod, "Yes, that's probably what it is, although that woman was throwing around money buying you dresses and things ... and they don't exactly look short of money," I glance around the room.
