In the meanwhile I'm still in conversation with Gaspard, when the children return to the quarters. I slip off my shoes and go to tend to them.

I watch her with the children, admiring how she cares for them. I gingerly slip off my jacket and toss it on the bed. "Is there anything I can help with?" I ask, joining Elisabeth and the children in the living area.

"Oh ... okay," I nod, "Well ... if you should need me, I'll be in the bedroom," I turn, slightly disappointed I'm not needed and go back into the bedroom. I take a book from my traveling bag and sit down on the bed to read.

About an hour later I go to find him, since the children have quietened down and I can trust them to be alone.
