"We're looking for a crew." Ana told him and now checked out the entire guy. "Well no." She corrected herself. "I am looking for a crew and he is getting drunk and finding himself a whore for tonight." She nodded at Jack before flashed Adam a pearly white grin. She played with her rum bottle and her feet swung forewards and backwards a bit since they weren't long enough to reach the ground. Ana had often been teased by new crewmembers about her hight.. but it didn't take her long to convince them that they should not do that.

"I see." Considering this as a good enough introduction, Adam turned his gaze to Jack for a while. "The Black Pearl, isn't it?" He inquired, knowing the stories of Sparrow and his beloved ship, of course. Anyone who stayed in Tortuga long enough would learn about the familiar faces - and the vessels that belonged to them.

Jack raised an eyebrow when he was addressed.
"None other. The Black Pearl, the fastest ship in the Caribbean, the most huge-ish ship in the Caribbean, mine," He turned to the stranger, leaning on one elbow. "Why do you ask?"

Adam figured that a chance like this one was rare. All things considered, his strange jobs and history, he saw an oppertunity here. And he wasn't the kind to let an oppertunity slip. "You're looking for a crew, I'm looking for a ship." Adam explained shortly, and he flashed a quick grin. "That's why I ask."

"Oi. No." Ana interrupted the conversation. "I am the one looking for a crew here, he has nothing to do with it." She smiled sweetly at JAck.

Jack raised his eyebrow again. It was a bit of a coincidence, and coincidence made him suspicious. He'd been betrayed enough times to learn when to be wary.
He held up a hand to Ana to silence her.
"And what makes you think you're worthy to crew a ship as grand as the Black Pearl?"

Adam efficiently ignored Ana as well. Whatever chore the woman was appointed to, the captain of the ship had the last say of course - so Adam didn't waste any energy on paying attention to the girl now. "I'm a skilled sailor." He told Jack, sounding confident as always. "I was first mate on the Stingray, for one thing. So I'm experienced enough.. even for a ship as grand as the Black Pearl."

Alright. No. Not like that. Ana looked at Jack and growled. If he appointed a task to her he should let her do it and not interrupt. He should know that by now. She turned to him, making sure she was between the guy and Jack himself. "I can handle this." She told him, trying to stay calm. "I dont need you to hold my hand.. and I can pick crewmembers myself."

Jack narrowed his eyes, inspecting the stranger, completely ignoring Ana. He looked strong enough, not too old, not too young. He didn't look like he was about to drop dead from scurvy either.
"What's your name, lad?"

A catlike hiss escaped Ana's lips. "Please do tell me that you're kidding, because my hand is itching." She snapped at Jack.
