Adam Brahe walked through the streets of Tortuga with a confidence in his stride that was rarely observed in this town. Most habitants of Tortuga were either drunk or half-dead at this hour, but he had made sure to be neither today. He had just done some profitable business and his pockets were full with money. He was intend to find a tavern, have some drinks, some food maybe.. His demands weren’t all that high, so as the Faithful Bride came in view he figured that would do.
As he stepped through the door, he was greeted by the scent of alcohol, vomit and sweat. Before he could do as much as blink, a dagger which was thrown in his general direction and got stuck in the door, two inches from his face. Adam glanced at the weapon with mild interest, but unimpressed, and then in the direction it came from (a brawl). Deciding it wasn’t specifically aimed at him, he pulled the weapon out of the door swiftly, and stuck it securely in his belt, before he continued the route to the bar.
A nod to a barmaid delivered him a glass of rum, and Adam sat down comfortably.

Ana silently sat there and drank her rum, thinking about a strategy to get the right men onto the Pearl. She looked up when a guy sat down a bit away from her at the bar. The first thing she noticed was that she was *not* directly noticing him because of his smell - some men still managed to stand out even though it already smelled extremely bad in the tavern. She smirked a bit at herself and dropped her hat onto the chair next to her on a chair.

Adam wasn't the kind of man who tended to socialize unnecessarily, so for a while he enjoyed the peace and quiet around him. Or actually.. peace and quiet was a gross exaggeration. The brawls, shouting of whores and drunken songs were loud as could be. But he was used to the environment, and found it easy to relax and enjoy the fact that he'd made good profit today, without paying attention to any of it.
When he finished his first glass of rum, the barmaid (a familiar face to him) returned to refill his glass. She disturbed his unsocial behaviour, leaning over the bar to adress him. "Ey, mister Brahe, when is our new supply of those fine liquors arrivin'?" She asked. Adam, who was known for his smuggling business, supplied this particular bar with brandy and rum from best qualities. Most of the Tortugan people didn't actually mind what they drank, but a select few demanded quality, and that's where his expertise was convenient. He gave the barmaid a slight smirk, "There's a shipment coming in next week, sweetheart. Before you run out." He promised, before he returned his attention to his drink.

In the meantime - while the guy next to her was talking to the barmaid - Ana ran out of rum. Dramatic, of course. "You." She told the barmaid and then pointed at her empty bottle.

Jack had watched the brawl break out and still had an eye on the fight with amusement. He turned around on his chair at the bar and raised an eyebrow at Ana.
"Luv, don't forget you've got work to do," He rolled his eyes. Getting drunk was his business, his crew still had their duties. It came with being the Captain.
Jack nodded at the barmaid and was handed another bottle, which he quickly drunk down half of in one go.

Ana wisely decided to ignore Jack's comment and waited for the barmaid to get her another rum. She was working on it - of course. What else did it look like what she was doing? Her eyes wandered around the tavern for a moment (looking for crewmembers..?) and the she turned her attention to the barmaid, still waiting and starting to get annoyed.

The barmaid sighed, carrying rum around for Jack and Ana, looking rather annoyed at the fact that she had work to do. "I'll be right back." She told Adam as she passed by to fetch more rum for Ana.
Adam smirked faintly, lifting his glass again, "Don't hurry yourself." He mumbled, not caring much for the company. He glanced aside to Ana who had disturbed the conversation, and at the rumbottle she'd just finished. "You should try the dominican kind." He adviced her. It would be better for business - his business.

Ana looked at the non-smelly guy and then at her now full bottle of rum. "No." She simply told him but decided that was not a nice reply and added a slight smile, order to make it less harsh. That however did not work entirely and she frowned a bit at herself. "Oh well.." She mujmbled, shrugged and smirked to herself. She looked at the bottle infront of the guy. "I already tried it.." She explained.

Jack turned his nose up at the two. For once quietly observing. He couldn't decide what was more entertaining - the still loud and busy brawl going on behind him, or Ana making a fool of herself in front of this stranger.

"And you didn't like it?" Adam smirked, shaking his head at such a poor display of taste. "Suit yourself." He told her. He finished his drink and patiently waited for a refill, while he considered his plans for tonight. As he did, his gaze went through the bar, observing the people around them. Next to Ana he noticed a colorful character, with braided hair and eyeliner, and for a moment Adam narrowed his eyes as he looked back to his empty glass. How could he haved missed that? If he wasn't mistaken, that had to be Jack Sparrow. And if that was so, that was.. interesting. He glanced to the girl next to him again, "Say, what brings you here to Tortuga?" He asked, assuming she had to be with Jack since they'd just spoken to each other. His determination to be unsocial had vaporated rapidly.
