ooc: just skip ahead to after they got away from beckett.
Joanna laid in bed in pain. She had just tried to help Barbossa fight a group of navy soldiers. Because of her condition, she was too slow. One of the soldiers managed to cut her leg pretty bad. She had a deep cut that went from her knee to her ankle.
"What were you thinking, Joanna?!" she heard Barbossa ask.

Elizabeth didn't protest being taken aboard Sao Fang's ship as much as Will did. The man actually thought she was Calypso. 'I won't spoil the surprise," she thought, 'I'd probably be killed if I did.' He was talking to her not as Elizabeth, but as Calypso. He had asked her a question. "And if I refuse?" she answered. "Then I will face your fury." he said before pressing her against a beam and kissing her roughly. She pushed him away gasping. Just then, a giant shard of wood smashed through the ship and impaled him.
There was fighting. The Dutchman was attacking them. Sao Fang beckoned her close and handed her his piece of eight before dying. "What did he say?" asked a crew member rushing down the stairs. "I think he just made me captain." She went up the stairs only to run into James Norrington. "Take the crew down to the brig, the captain will have my quarters." "I prefer to stay with my crew." she replied.

bic:After having Calypso locked in the brig for a less then friend debate, Barbossa went below deck to see Joanna. He was furious with her for joining in the fighting. When he went in his Cabin and seen her in bed he could tell by the look on her face, she was in alot of pain. "What were ye thinkin' Joanna?" He asked in an angry tone. Before she had a chance to answer he went on "When we get ta Shipwreck Cove yer stayin there where you and our child will be safe untill all this is over." He could tell she wasn't happy with this. He sat in a chair beside the bed and took her hands in his. "I couldn't live wit meself if 'nethin', that I coulda prevented, were ta happen ta you or the baby."

It took a few weeks for the Black Pearl to get to Shipwreck Cove. Joanna was getting bigger everyday. As soon as they arrived, Barbossa took her to a room he wanted her to stay in. He also hired someone to take care of Joanna while he was gone.
"Promise you'll come back safe to me", Joanna told Barbossa. "Promise me."
Barbossa hugged her.
"I promise", he said.
"Be careful, Hector. I"ll be waiting for you."
