Love Will Endure

James smiled at Elizabeth. "Sorry about that but seriously, it's okay that you don't love me but he's not good enough for you, can't you see that?" He tried to move closer to her but Will moved in his way. "There has to be someone more... proper you love?" "She loves me James." Will said, softly because talking enough louder hurt his nose.

"He is proper," Elizabeth said firmly. "He lives a simple life, he doesn't try to win my love, he doesn't force me to do anything. He's my best friend. James, I love Will and I don't think I can think of another man to fall in love with than Will."

James made a face. "But your father misses you Elizabeth." he shook his head. "He's worried sick about you." Will was proud of Elizabeth for standing up to James but he still felt he should be the one defending her not the other way around.

"Tell him I'm fine," was all Elizabeth said. She turned to Will and took his hand, having them walk off. "Come on, Will."

"Elizabeth." James grabbed her arm. "I really must take you back with me." Will knew he could easily beat James but it wasn't the right thing to do, then again he couldn't let him take Elizabeth either. "She's fine with me honest." he said, trying to sound completely sure of himself.

"No!" Elizabeth yelled, pulling her arm from James and to Will. "I'm staying with Will. I wouldn't start a scene or a fight, James. There are people around and I'm sure they know who you are." Elizabeth frowned and quickly turned around and walked off with Will. She looked behind her shoulder and found James following them. Elizabeth took Will's hand and had they broke into a run, having them go towards the docks.

As soon as Elizabeth started running Will did too, he noticed she was heading towards the docks and run ahead of her, pulling her along with him. His eyes scanned everything in front of him, looking for something, everything that would help them escape, of course any luck he’d had run out and he didn’t see anything useful. He knew he had to get James off his tail if they wanted to stay together. His pulse was pounding in his ears, making it hard to hear anything else. Just then he caught sight of a ship that was about to leave port, of course he didn’t know where to was going…. But anyway was better then here.

Elizabeth saw it too and took Will's hand. "Come on!" she yelled, fastening her speed on running. They were to the dock of the ship just as the ticket keeper was starting to pull the railing off. Elizabeth pulled out some money that she had took before she ranaway with Will, gave it to the man and got them both two tickets, where the man took it from them and let them get on. After they did, the man pulled the railing from the ship and it began to set off.

Will shook his head at Elizabeth when they were both safely aboard the ship. "That was close." he told her, a little out of breath. He stepped over to the railing, watching the docks growing smaller and smaller in the distance. He almost felt like he was doing something wrong because James was always chasing him around. If running away was truly the right thnig wouldn't they have better luck at it? "He's never going to give up you know." Will muttered almost to himself.

"Once we dock at the port of where this ship is going, we'll take a ship to the island I spoke of," Elizabeth said. She leaned against him, her head against his arm. She then remembered James hitting Will and let out a gasp, turning to Will. "How's your nose?"
