(I don't know if you want first or third person, but I'll fix myself to whatever you want ) For a long time, he lay there as if asleep. If someone were to have stood over him, they would not have been able to tell if he was alive or dead. Hopefully it would be the former. But the only inkling that gave away that he was neither was the fact that he was hovering slightly above the ground.
Then suddenly, a coughing and sputtering, a rolling over, and James Norrington woke up on the very shoreline of an unknown beach. "Wh..." but he couldn't speak. His throat was too dry, parched. He did not remember much, just... a kiss. A lovely, wonderful kiss, almost as if it was the completion of something that he had, for a very long time, wanted. But, with whom?
And then, he remembered pain. A sharp pain, sudden, and then release. A drifting off, as if floating on the beach. He must be dead, he thought. But how could he be? This was too much like life. He was sore all over his body, and his heart was burning, stinging, aching. His throat was dry and his eyes were burning with the sand that flecked into it. Too much suffering. And wasn't death meant to be less of a human experience?
He stood up. The beach. Heaven. Was Heaven also like a beach? He tried to walk, weak as he was, as far as he could go. There was a crab. Food, he thought, trying to grab at it. But his hand slipped right through it. "Am I a ghost?" he asked out loud. His voice was hollow, harsh with it's hoarseness, and very, very faint. But by hearing himself, he had a flash into his former life. Yes, now he remembered. His name was James Norrington. "That's a very proper sort of name," he mused to himself. "And no one will think I'm strange, of course, because I am alone. This beach, it's all mine!"
And somewhere deep, deep down inside, he realized it wasn't his. That didn't matter to him. He looked onto the horizon. Something about it... a girl. A kiss. Untamable personalities. Then, it struck him. Elizabeth. But that was too late, she was all Will's. All of her belonged to William Turner. What if... If he came back, would Elizabeth still love him? Did she ever love him? Yes, a little voice said in his head. As a very good friend. Love her that way. At least that way. And you will be happy, even just a little bit. James stood up and nodded to his thoughts. If you ever go back, he thought, just look for Elizabeth. For a long time Captain Jack Sparrow, most infamous, greatest, and important...est... pirate of the seas, or so he'd liked to think, had been sitting in a dinghy with an empty bottle of rum and no water. At first, it had been exciting, knowing he had managed to make one of the greatest thefts of all time, at least, to those who knew the worth of it. But after a few hours, he did begin to get a little hungry, and even more so, thirsty, and the distance between wherever the hell he was according to the stars and the place he was headed seemed to get longer and longer and... Jack sighed. "Stupid little map belonging to a stupid little Asian pirate wot got himself crushed and sent to the bottom of the Locker..."

(Third person's fine with me!)
*FlashBack* The beach side was beautiful on this evening. Anna tried to enjoy it rather than think about what was to become of her if she went back into her mother's house. She never liked the idea of mariage being forced upon someone or planned for someone without their say. Unfortunately for her, she was now in that exact situation. She sat on the beach in a sundress that flowed around her feet. She could hear her mother calling from the house and sighed. She rose to her feet and walked barefooted through the sand up to her home.
"Annabelle, meet Markus White." Her mother said and it all started.
Two Days Later....
Anna walked to the docks in mens clothing looking for a ship to stow away on. She had a plan to get out as quickly as she possibly could. She found herself a ship and began hopping from ship to ship until she ended up with a Captain Ronald Mahogany.
*Present Day*
"Captain!" Anna yelled from the crow's nest. She slid down a rope and her boots hit the deck with a loud thud. "Captain, there's a...a dingy in the water on the starboard side. Looks like a lone man sitting inside it. Think we should help the sailor?" She asked her tall captain. He stared at the horizon before looking back at her.
"Aye, let's go 'n get 'im." He said and began barking orders at the crew.
((I'm adding my own extra character because I'm bored with just Anna))

((Third person is fine,it is what I always use so I'm good with it. )) A long sullen sigh could be heard escaping slightly parted lips, dark chocolate pools staring straight ahead toward the infinitely spanning horizon before her. How long had it been since William had left her..? In truth..it had only been a few weeks since his departure..,but it felt more like months! So how exactly was she supposed to wait ten long years for him? She didn't quite know if she could wait that long... Time had changed the once 'prestige' Governor's daughter. Long caramel locks hung down tangled and knotted, bleached bright by the constant sun. She wore a white blouse covered with a dark bodice neatly tied over top her chest and waist. A large, flowing cream colored skirt hugged against her small waist. A simple pair of black and worn low cut leather boots snugly nestled upon her feet, which usually were hidden under that long skirt of hers. She could have, gone back to 'society' if she wanted, still having a few relatives alive in England. However, the lass had decided she needed 'time' to herself, not to mention she was going to wait for Will. She made a promise to him. A promise she was going to keep! So she was going to stay, wait right where he left her. "..Its awfully boring today as usual..." She spoke out loud to herself, there wasn't anyone else to talk to really, so expressing her thoughts out loud had become quite normal to her..Not to mention how quiet it was..Perhaps she should go for a walk..? After all that's all there really was to do.. It would ease her boredom, if only for a short while. But where was she to go..? The beach perhaps..? It couldn't hurt really.., and often it was a frequented place for her. "I suppose it wouldn't hurt.." She spoke aloud expressing her thoughts in reassurance of herself. Slowly the young woman began to walk down the grassy plains of island, humming a soft tune to herself as she headed toward way of the island's beach.

(Wait, you're using Markus in this? I was used to playing him in the Jack Sparrow plot, I didn't think he'd be in here haha I'm interested to see what'll happen! Anyway, I'm using Will temporarily, if anyone's characters encounter him they can play him if they so desire.) Jack was startled to suddenly see a couple of men swimming their way over to him. He preferred to work alone. "No, no, no, no wait," he said to them. One of them raised their eyebrows. "You don't want help?" he asked. "Not at all. I work alone." "And you're in a filthy dinghy." "I'm sorry," said Jack. "But this is no ordinary dinghy. This is... the.... Wandering Compass!" He grinned proudly. "And all I need right about now is some food and water, so if you'd be so kind..." For a long time Will had been underwater. Davy Jones had left too many souls in his care.... and every time he had cleared up an entire lot, more appeared. Poor things, he thought, somewhat disgusted. Ten years. Ten years until he could see his dearest Elizabeth, and then another ten years. Tia Dalma. That traitorous, idiotic little B- but then he looked up. Because there from the horizon, he saw his dearest Elizabeth, and his heart began pounding. She would not live forever.
There was only one thing to be done. Jack, he thought. And then, he was gone.

Elizabeth had no idea of the thoughts and worries that plagued her husbands mind. The young lass was currently continuing her tread down to the beach for a walk amongst the sand. It would still be a few more minutes before she'd arrive on that shore and considering she was taking her time, well..perhaps it'd be more then a few.
Finally she'd arrive at the long stretch of beach before her, only to stop a few feet from the sandy terrain. Dark chocolate pools would narrow slightly, was there a ..man on the beach? At least it looked like a man..,so it should certainly be one! Wasn't she the only one on the island though..? How else could some one else be there then!? Perhaps.., she was growing delusional in her isolation , mirages beginning to form before her very eyes! She began to rub her eyes, blinking a few times as she stared straight ahead, the figure of the man not seeming to disappear..Next she attempted a tight pinch to her arm, to see if perhaps by chance she was sleeping. Elizabeth winced from the slight pain, but the sight before he still appeared. Was she going crazy!? No..of course..not! Not her of all people. He could well,..be shipwrecked, but she honestly wasn't so sure... Then there was also the possibility they could have been marooned there as well..But that lead to the chance he could be a very dangerous..individual.
Uncertain of her situation, slowly and quietly she'd pick up a rather large stick laying on the edges of the grass that separated the beach. Steadily would the young woman begin to creep onto the sand, there wasn't much for cover..except a few rocks here and there which she used to her advantage. Quiet as a mouse was she, going from the sand to rock,to rock, until finally she was behind the man. A large gust could be heard as she swung the stick through the air coming to point it toward the man's back. "Who are you and what are you doing here!?" She yelled, her accent thick and full of anger, about ready to swing her stick at the intruder. Fighting with only a large stick was a rather..stupid idea in all honesty. But Elizabeth was not about to allow only God knew bloody who, this man was on the beach island's, to intrude on her or her land if they were a hostile person!

((Haha, well it is Anna. You gotta add in her fiance somehow. Oh, the drama. So, what do you think of Ronald? )) Anna watched as the crewmen brought the man back to the ship. She crossed her arms over her chest and walked her way over to him. "What are you doin' so far out here in that...thing?" She asked skeptically with an eyebrow raised. Her captain followed behind her and ordered his men to get the man fresh water. "Aye. What's yer purpose out in open water, sailin' in only a dingy?" Ronald asked, his eyes narrowing as he stared at the man. He felt like he might have known him once. "'Ere ya are sir. Fresh water." A crewman said in a raspy voice. He handed him a mug that was tipping over as his old hands shook.

(I love Ronald! BTW - depending on how the story goes, I may add in a very temporary OC later on. ) Jack first looked at the man who dragged him off his dinghy, which he insisted ought to be tied to the ship (and so it was), and then at the girl behind him. She was pretty, like many of the girls he came across. Maybe a little bedding trip would be good for him. But he snapped to the man with the water and took it, gulping it down gratefully. Then he addressed the man who dragged him off. The Captain, he figured. "My purpose is my business, and my business is mine alone. You don't like my answer, and I'm perfectly fine going off on my dinghy." He said this with some dignity, as if a dinghy was worth all its salt. Moments before Elizabeth had noticed James walking on the beach, Will had taken him there.
It was with good reason; James Norrington's body and soul were rotting an unnecessary death. Will breathed life back into James, and so he woke on the beach where Elizabeth was. Will trusted Elizabeth, and Will knew she would not fail him... or so he hoped. There he left a boat. A boat for the two of them to leave. Where you are, I will be there for you, he whispered into her soul, hoping she would hear him. My love for you will never die, even if yours will. That is your choice.By now James's strength had grown incredibly. But he was starving. And then... "Who are you and what are you doing here?" James looked around wildly: that voice sounded incredibly like...
"Elizabeth!"
But he knew that there would be shock on her face. She would say something like, "I saw you die!" But then, James remembered, this world was full of people dying and coming back.

((shibby. new characters are always fun. I'm curious, do you love Ronald because of how amazingly shmexy he is or because he's just a new charrie? )) Anna watched as another man brought him some fruit from downstairs. She waited until the exchange was finished to speak again. "We gave you food and water. I believe that deserves an explaination. Unless you want us to throw you overboard and blow up your little rowboat." She said mockingly with her eyes narrowed. She stepped forward, her hands on her hips, and raised an eyebrow. "At least tell us your name, sailor." She demanded. Ronald watched with satisfaction and pride as Anna took over the situation for him. He basically considered her his first mate because of how well she took charge and care of things that needed be cared for. He would easily admit that he'd fallen for the young woman. She was a strong woman and full of desire to prove herself as useful, if not better than, the men on his ship.

((Wow, that was short compared to the others. And you've already got three canons. lol. and your gonna throw in another? You like an rp with alot of people dont you?))
Anna raised her eyebrows. "Fine. But how exactly will you get another one? We're out in open waters. There's not land for days sailing. Do you expect to swim there?" She asked skeptically and amused.
