Jenna bit her lip as she watched Jack storm out. She was actually starting to think Jack was right about a few things. She didn't know much at all about the ship and she didn't really know anything about Barbossa. For all she knew, he could indeed just be using her to annoy Jack.
For a few minutes Jenna felt kind of homesick. She wanted a friend's shoulder to cry on, but she didn't even have many friends back at all. So trying not to embarrass herself, she turned her face away and let a few tears fall. She was never good enough for her mother and apparently she wasn't good enough for pirates either.

"Bloody little rich girl.. with her frilly li'l dress 'nd her mommy and daddy problems 'nd her annoyin' voice 'nd her stupid hair with the fake curls.. she's no better then Elizabeth... matter of fact.. I'd take Elizabeth over her anyday.." Jack was standing at the helm mumbling to himself.. "At least she could drink rum..... She could waste rum too but it seems like I'm the only one who doesn't waste rum these days..."

Jenna wished she couldn't hear what Jack was saying, but he was speaking just loud enough so that she caught the beginning of his sentence. She had really just about had it, especially with the comment about her hair. She was rather self-conscious and comments like that hit her hard.
Suddenly, she decided she couldn't stand another minute of Jack. Standing up defiantly, she started towards the side of the ship. She would jump off and swim to the nearest shore. It was a stupid idea, but in the moment, it seemed like her best option.

"Jenna?" Barbossa said.
He saw Jenna leaning over the railing of the ship. He knew what she was going to do. Rich girls like her probably didn't know how to swim.
"Jenna, don't!" Barbossa said reaching his arm out.
Jenna didn't seem to hear him. He ran toward the railing as she jumped.

Jenna jumped off the edge of the ship and landed on her stomach with a loud smacking noise. It hurt really bad and she forced her head up above the crashing waves to fight for air. She tried to breath, but her heavy dress with all the frills and lace was pulling her down. It didn't help that she didn't know how to swim. She had thought that all she had to do to swim was flop her arms around. Apparently there was more to swimming than that.
As a wave crashed over her head and sent her spiraling downwards, all she could do was think that at least she was making Jack happy.

Barbossa grabbed a rope and tied one end around the mast and one end around his waist. The crew gathered around and took hold of the rope. Barbossa jumped over the railing, into the sea. He could see Jenna sinking deeper and deeper. He reached out his hand for her to grab.

Jack saw the girl Jump in the water followed by Barbossa and he ran to the edge to watch.. Well.. The crew would have to help pull them out, because Jack wouldn't. "Stupid girl.."

Jenna was sinking down further and further. She couldn't seem to breath anymore. She gave one last struggle upwards, but then gave him. Her limbs were too weak and she couldn't stop this downward travel to the depths of the ocean.
She could see some shadows in the distance, but couldn't make out what they were. Choking as the water filled her lungs, her vision danced before her eyes and she blacked out.

Barbossa saw Jenna stop struggling. He swam down to her wrapping his arms around her. Her dress was too heavy, making it difficult for him to get back up to the surface. From the corner of his eye, Barbossa saw something else swimming toward him. It appeared to be a mermaid. She had short hair and a scar on the side of her face. She took Barbossa by the arm and helped him swim to the surface.

( Hey I know that scar!! ) Jack watched the scene in the water unfold.. From the corner of his eye he seen something swim by, but couldn't get a good look at it. For some reason he had an odd feeling about it, but decided to ignore it. He began to chew on his nails casually as Barbossa pulled the girl from the water.
