Jenna waited for Rath to leave before quickly putting on her dress. She had a flashback of the time she and Barbossa had sex in front of Rath. Did Rath remember that? Jenna stepped out of her room and into the kitchen.
"I'm off to go find work."

"Won't ya eat first?" Barbossa asked. "Ya can't work on an empty stomach, can ya?"
"Can I go with you?" Rath asked.

"No, yes, and no," Jenna said, answering all the questions in one sentence. "I'm off now."
She quickly slipped through the doors. It hurt her to be around Barbossa. Something wasn't quite right with her living with him.

Barbossa shook his head and went to clean up. Rath waited until he had his back turned before following Jenna.
"Mommy, what's wrong?" he asked.

"Nothing," Jenna smiled at him a fake smile. "But I have to look for a job. You'll have to go home now, okay? I'll be home in just a little while."
Jenna gave him a quick hug before hurrying along on her way. Unfortunately, she would have no luck at finding jobs today.

"No," Jenna said pointedly.
She gave him a little push towards the house and then ran through the crowds so there was no way he could find her.

He ran into the crowd. He looked for Jenna, but didn't see her.
"Mommy?"

Jenna had already gone into a shop and figured Rath had gone home. She tried to get a job, but nobody would accept her.

"Mommy?" he called.
He kept bumping into people's legs and none of them were his parents.
