Mythical Voyage: Siren Song

General story of the rp:

Bottles of dead or captured navy seamen reached the shore of England.
The cartographer discovers the bottled messages come from a certain part of the Caribbean, reads up on stories about Jack Sparrow, who is in jail in England at the moment, and finds out that Sparrow knows what is going on.

Sailors have been captured, one by one by mermaids and sirens in search for Captain Jack Sparrow. A long time ago he condemned a young mermaid to death as she took a leap of faith and foolishly waited for Sparrow, all night long, in the hopes of becoming his betrothed, as he had promised. Sparrow never showed up, the mermaid waited and waited, until the sun came up and changed her to dust.

Jack was long gone while this was happening, leaving the family in turmoil, as their heir to the throne died. Now it’s the sirens against the mermaids, who both want to rule Atlantis. A prize was put on Jack’s head, the one who’ll capture him and bring him down becomes the new king or queen. It’s not just about Jack, however, also about what he stole from the mermaids, the spirit of Achelous, trapped in a valuable diamond covered box, with which the deadly sea serpents could be controlled.

Serena is a siren, chosen by the family to find Jack and restore the peace to Atlantis. She received magical powers to live on land and track him down. Finally, she made her way to England, where she lead Sparrow, by means of her magic. She is forced to join the captain of the Navy, seeing as she is the only one who knows these waters in detail, to follow their men and find out what is happening to them.

Sooo, this is all very detailed, it’s just to get a sense of my idea for this rp =) I need someone who wants to take on the role of random pirate or something, who is connected to the Achelous-box and who is currently in jail with Sparrow for whatever reason (you can be creative yourself haha)

I'll think about it, darling. Possibley the other original character, because I suck at playing men. But I could play that and the Navy Captain, if needed. I'd say Jack but I don't think my skills are up for it ;D I like the thought you've put into it all though, and I love nothing better than a Pirate rp.

I'd love to play Jack, unless you all have someone else in mind, or would rather me not doing it understandable by me, and no hard feelings if that's the case. I just feel like since I've RPed a lot more in the past year on various platforms, that's kind of given me some new insight, so I could maybe pull it off.

And indeed Daz, I wanted a well-thought of piraty story, but since pirates is always pushing boundaries when it comes to sea-myths I figured this was the way to go

If anyone has any good plausible suggestions for the story or mythical creatures etc. I'm more than willing to consider them! the more great minds together, the better

Also, I don't mind taking on two roles as well, I can play a guy pretty well *nods in manly way*

Yes! I'm excited twooo questions, my dear: will this be in first person, or third? Also, does this take place after the history with the mermaids (promise of marriage, etc.), or right before it all?

@ Aparna, I usually rp in third person, but do whatever comes natural, I don't mind

It will take place in London first, where the bottled messages arrive, it's post-marriage-mermaid-death, that was just a small history of why Serena will act the way she do and for whomever plays Jack (you) to know what he did in the past

Captain of the Black Pearl, plans on using the Achelous-box to control a many-headed sea serpent that's guarding an elixir that will allow him to be nearly invulnerable during attack. Currently in a jail in England.

(is that all right? If not, I can change it. I just researched some different Jack Sparrow myths on a wikia, haha.)
