The sound of Jacks voice was actually soothing for a change. He had dropped all of the annoyance he had ever since he found out she was a woman. "Where do I begin?" She said, still gazing at the waves crashing against the ship. "I jus' met you, almost robbed you, then almost killed you, then slept with you for money, then snuck on your ship as a man then saved your life, then you found out I was actually the whore from Tortuga. . . It's a lot to take in all at once." She sighed. "And all the lies I've told you in between to top it all off." She finally turned to look at him "Yet you still wont kill me. . Or lock me in the brig, or kick me off of your ship."

He understood that this was a lot to go through in the past few days or so.

She rolled her eyes.. This was the whole reason she joined as a man to begin with.. It wasn't because she didn't think he'd let her join, because she can talk her way into anything, but it was because she wanted to be treated like the rest of the crew. "Then pretend you still think I'm a man. . . And go back to callin' me Cas. . . I'm sick of this Asty crap."

Now he was getting personal.. To personal for Astoria. "That I wont tell ya." She walked over to the steps and took a set, still tired from the lack of sleep, but still sure she wouldn't be able to fall asleep with all of this on her mind.

The sun was setting over the horizon. Jack hadn't spoken a word to Astoria since she walked off. He found her sitting on the steps. Jack came down to offer her something to make her feel better.
"Hungry?" he asked her. "I could use some company for dinner tonight."

Astoria almost said no but remembered that Jack was getting pretty close to her when he thought she was a man still and figured they would have been eating together then too. "Sure." She got up and followed him to his room.

The crew was getting all the food ready. There was fish, eels, fruit, bread, pork, and some cake. The cabin was filled with many, many candles. Jack waited until everyone left to sit down with Astoria.

She stared at him for a long moment before taking a large helping of food and began to eat. "Tell me somethin' Jacky. . . Do you mind if I call you Jacky?" Hopefully that would bug him as bad as Asty bothered her. "If you still thought I was Cas, would he be eattin' in here with you?"
