"What if they tease me? What if they don't let me join any of their games?" Anouk asked, pushing the cornflakes away.
"You'll only ever know if you go." Roux told her. "Consider it a challenge." He put on the voice of an announcer. "Will Anouk succeed in convincing the youth of Paris of her fabulousness? Find out next, in tu-tu-tuuu.. Anouk, the Movie."
Anouk wanted to sulk, but she couldn't help but giggle.
"Now you gotta hurry though, petite. It's almost time and you don't wanna miss your cue." Roux got up and handed Anouk's shoes to her so she could put them on, which she did, a little relunctantly, but at least she did it. A few minutes later, they were all ready to go. Roux planned on continuing his way downtown after they brought Anouk to school, to continue his job-hunting.

"I can't keep telling you how glad I am you two get along so well .. usually she's not good with strangers, let alone men...not that you're a stranger any more.. but still" Vianne observed Roux's face, looking for a hint of recognition to her words.

"I know what you mean." Roux assured Vianne. "And I'm glad too. You could've had a little monster as a daughter, but Anouk's great." He told her with a smirk. The little girl walked ahead of them, kicking a road through the road. Roux put his arm around Vianne's waist as they entered the street where the school was.

(rock.. down the road.. bahhaha jaaa Anouk heeft superkrachten. Wist je niet he? ) Roux smirked, "Fine, you win. It's alright I guess." He said. They got to the school and Anouk ran back to them. "You don't have to go in with me." She said, a little scared that kids would tease her if she showed up with mommy holding her hand for the first day. She hesitated though, and lingered a little longer. "Will you be here to pick me up later though?" She asked. |

"absolutely, right here in this spot, okay? You go and have fun sweety" she placed a small kiss on Anouk's head and watch her run off. She turned back to Roux "Let's pray she'll like it here and make friends" she mumbled, a bit worried of course

"She's gonna be fine, Vianne." Roux assured her, giving her hand a squeeze. "It's Paris. If there's one place in the world that should accept strangers, this is it."
As they started walking away from the school. "I think I'll go into town. See whether I can get a job again." Roux announced.

Vianne went back to the house and started working there, it took her half a day to get the workingspace cleaned up and ready for use. Now all she needed were supplies and cookerystuff..
Before she went out into town she sat herself down for a cup of tea while overthinking about how well they were all doing these first days.
