"Maybe a week an' a half then, if I shop smart," Mystique said. "I'll start looking for another job on Monday. Ask your friend if there's any job going at his human friendly bar," She said, glancing up at him. She wasn't fussy, she could pour drinks if it brought in a few extra bucks.

"Yeah, will do." Logan agreed, looking down to her so their eyes met. He brought a hand to the back of her neck, to pull her closer and steal a kiss from her lips. He was confident they're work it out somehow. Hell, it's not like they had the choice not to.

Mystique gave him a slight smile when they pulled apart. She kept her eyes on his face, until her gaze was drawn to the blood bandage around his head. She ran her fingers over it lightly. "You need cleaning up," She gave him a slight smirk. She pushed herself off the bed and walked into the bathroom. She filled a bowl with warm water and grabbed a cloth and some clean bandages.
Mystique walked back to the bedroom, set the things down on the nightstand and sat on the edge of the bed again. "Now, I'm not the hot nurse next door, but I'll do my best," She smirked a little before she started peeling the bandage away from his forehead.

"Babe, you can be my hot nurse any time." Logan told her with a slight smirk, keeping his gaze on her to distract himself while she peeled off the bandages with a slight ripping sound.

Mystique returned the smirk, which quickly turned into a frown as she dropped the bandages to the floor. She pushed herself onto her knees after dipping the cloth into the warm water and wiped away the dried blood from around the room. There was a flash of silver. "What the hell ..." She ran a finger carefully over the opening. "Baby, you must've hit your head on the way down, there's something stuck in your head,"

"There's what?" Logan frowned in disbelief as she told him that. He would've thought he'd feel it if there was something stuck in his head. Moreoever, if he'd really hit his head on the way down, he would've been a lot more messed up than he was. Logan reached up, his fingers tracing over the place where the wound was deepest, a slight frown on his face at the uncomfortable feeling.

Mystique watched his face as he touched the strange metal in his head. "I think I'll just bandage it back up, let 'nurse Jean' take a look at it, see if she can get it out," Mystique said, slapping his hand away as he made it start bleeding all over again.

"Yeah, okay," Logan agreed, thinking Mystique must've gotten it wrong. Maybe she saw bone beneath or something. He didn't know that the surface underneath the wound was a shiny silver instead. He wiped his bloodcovered fingers on the cloth she brought while she bandaged his head up again.

Mystique tidied up the bandage on his head and moved down to his shoulder to clean up that one instead. "The hell?" She mumbled, tossing the bloody bandages to join the others. "It's here as well," She frowned, inspecting the deep gash in his shoulder.

Logan frowned. He moved his wounded arm so he could look at the deep gash, and saw that same flash of silver which Mystique had noticed before. His assumption that she'd seen bone stopped being an option. "What the.." Logan reached his other hand to his shoulder. Before Mystique could argue, he put his fingers on the edges of the gash and pulled the skin apart. More blood pulsed out of the wound, making him gritt his teeth and blink a few times to restore his vision. But the exposed wound did give them a better look at the silver. "The hell is that..?" Logan mumbled.
