Mystique groaned, "You know the alarm clock is their for a reason ... and it's not target practise," She mumbled with a slight smirk. She gave his lips a kiss before she put a hand against his chest to push herself out of bed. "I'm gonna shower before Aurora demands breakfast," She mumbled, stealing one more kiss from his lips before she stumbled across the room to the bathroom, still half asleep.

Logan woke up a second time when Aurora started to cry. He sat up groggily, checked the clock and saw it was half an hour later already, which meant he'd fallen asleep without realizing. "Dammit." He rolled out of bed and put on a pair of boxers. He crossed the hall and collected their baby girl, hushing her on the way back to their bedroom.

Mystique heard the cries of their baby as she stepped out of the shower, she dried herself quickly and decided not to bother getting dressed because Aurora would just end up spewing on her clothes knowing her luck recently. So she walked back through to the bedroom with a towel wrapped around her body. Mystique sat down on the bed next to Logan, half unwrapped the towel and gently took the girl from him. While Aurora fed, she leaned against Logan, resting her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes, exhausted before the day even started.

Logan stayed with Mystique for a while, but eventually he brushed a quick kiss on her lips and got up to shower. They didn't have much time to spare, despite the fact that the alarm went off an hour earlier than usual. After a few minutes in the shower, Logan dried off and walked back into the bedroom, where he threw on jeans, a shirt and his work boots. "I'll wake Luce," He told Mystique, leaning over her to steal a kiss, "You try and get some breakfast this time." He smirked at her, before he left the room.

Mystique smirked a little as he left before she returned her gaze to the baby in her arms. When Aurora was finished feeding, Mystique stood up, and realising she had no one to hold the baby while she got dressed and ready for work, carefully laid Aurora on the bed, wedged between two pillows so she couldn't roll off and then got dressed as quickly as she could and took Aurora downstairs with her so she could get some breakfast and well needed coffee.
She sat down at the counter after fetching a quick snack from the fridge, while Aurora laid in the crook of her elbow. She wasn't alone in the kitchen this morning though, there was Anna, who lived down the hall from them, with her toyboy boyfriend, Hank the lab assistant, and that Jean girl that Logan always had his eye on. She ignored all of them, too much going on in her own life to care about any of her neighbours. The only neighbour she cared about was Marie, the babysitter.

Lucy was trying hard not to go to school today, by pretending not to wake up first, then dressing with all her clothes inside out, then spilling toothpaste all over herself so she had to get changed again, and eventually realizing she 'lost' her schoolbag. Logan fished the bag out from under the bed, the only place she could've hidden it, and handed it over. "No more games," He warned her, taking her hand to bring her down to the kitchen too. "What the hell's up with you?"
Lucy's eyes welled up and she pulled her hand lose, suddenly bursting into tears. "They tease me at schoohooool!" She cried.
"Jesus," Logan mumbled under his breath. He picked her up, carrying her the rest of the way, "Listen, punkin, anybody who teases you is an idiot, alrigh'? They ain't worth your attention." He walked into the kitchen with her.
"But what if anybody calls me a name?" Lucy sobbed.
"Punch 'em in the nose." Logan adviced.
From the other side of the kitchen, a cough sounded, and Hank the lab assistant raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me," He said, "But did you just tell your child to deliberately hurt another child?"
"Mind your own business, lab monkey." Logan growled at the interuption. He looked back at Lucy and whiped a tear from her cheek. "Right in the nose, got it, sweetheart?"
Lucy nodded, sniffing a few more times before she stopped crying again.

Mystique gave Logan a slight smirk, approving of his advice even if Hank the lab assistant didn't. Who the hell was he to tell them how to raise their children? "Okay, we have to go now, Luce," Mystique said, standing up from her seat, draining her mug of coffee. "Marie'll be here in a second and I gotta drop Luce off at school again on the way to work," She mumbled, passing Aurora back to her daddy. It was so damn annoying that the school buses deliberately avoided 'the sapien end of town' which meant Mystique had to take half an hour out of her day to walk Lucy to school first. She grabbed a small carton of milk from the fridge and a cereal bar, handed both of them to Lucy. "You can eat on the way,"
She walked across to Logan, "Bye baby," She stole a kiss from his lips, "Bye baby," She kissed Aurora's forehead.
"BYEEEEE Daddy!" Lucy waved enthusiastically. "Right on the nose," She grinned at her daddy.
"See you at one, right?" Mystique smiled, at least one thing to look forward to today. She stole another kiss from his lips.

"Yeah." Logan made the kiss last a few seconds longer before he let go of her. About a minute after Mystique left, Marie showed up, and Logan handed over Aurora to make it to work on time. He snatched something to eat from the fridge before he gave Aurora a goodbye kiss on the forehead, grabbed his coat and left as well.

Mystique was for once, on time for work, barely. She did as she was told and kept her mouth shut. By the time one o'clock came, Mystique was still rushed off her feet, some old woman on the phone to her complaining about her tv bill and wanted to speak to Mr Lensherr directly and at the same time she had to fax some papers to some company in Paris and to top it all off Mr Lensherr was walking through the lobby directly towards her.
"Miss Darkholme," Magneto said, stopping at the front desk. "Have I had any mail today?"
"Please hold," Mystique mumbled, talking into the earpiece and the old woman who kept babbling at her. "Yes, you have," She fumbled around the desk, looking for where she left the mail. Eric Lensherr always made her nervous, he had this way of looking at her ... like he knew her, and he always looked down on her, even more so than the rest of the mutant. "And your daughter called, she'd like you to call her back, she didn't leave a message," She said, passing the mail across the desk.
"Thank you, Raven,"

Meanwhile Logan had managed to move his lunchbreak to match with Mystique's. So around one, he arrived at the Lensherr Corporation building. He looked pretty out of place there, in his worn down jeans and grime-covered shirt, still covered in sweat because he'd only dropped his work a few minutes earlier. It made him stand out, and therefore meant he didn't get very far. Someone stopped him when he reached the reception desk, because most of the floors and wings of the building were off-limit to anyone who wasn't an employee there. Let alone anyone human. So Logan made the lady at the reception desk ring Mystique's phone, to either let her confirm that she knew him so he could pass, or let her come downstairs instead.
