Rowdy sat up, interest peaked, he pushed his hat away from his eyes. "Where is said gold now?" He asked.

Billie-Jo was thinking then said to Nicolas: "Hey, that explosion that happened in Saint Justine?"

"I don't know. It was over a year ago," Nicolas told Rowdy, then he turned and nodded at Billie-Jo, "Yes, that was me," He said, "..I mean, I did cause the explosion. I just didn't know it would blow up the whole train. You see, I was experimenting with this modified version of trinitroglycerin, and binding it to a new oxidizing element. If it worked, it would have been the scientific breakthrough of the decade, it had ten times the explosive power of your average TNT." He rambled about his line of work.

Billie-Jo frowned; "You caused the explosion...but you're not guilty?"

Nicolas found himself unable to answer that immediately. He opened his mouth to say something, closed it again to think about it.. and eventually mumbled a reply, "It was an experiment.. I didn't think the whole train would go airborne."

"Right...but you didn't kill others in the explosion?"

Nicolas looked at Billie-Jo through the fire, realizing that she probably expressed such skepticism to his defense because he sounded so enthusiastic about the explosion. So perhaps that's where his defense had gone wrong all along. Hindsight didn't do him much good though. Nicolas simply relied the question with a shake of his head, "No ma'am. The train was empty except for the driver. He.. uh.. he lost a leg." He said, scratching behind his ear uncomfortably.

"hm" She said, then being quiet for a minute until she said:"I think the government need to re-think the way they give punishment to people. It's much more unfair than fair, really" She chewed slowly on a stick

"I told them that," Nicolas agreed wholeheartedly, "It was just a leg, and by all means, the progress in science that would follow from these results did more than make up for it."

Jane's interest in Nicolas grew, as he knew about explosion. It went well with arson, she could learn a thing or two from this guy 'Ever wanted to use your ability to blow things up for banks and other places that are drowning in money?" she asked
Jax strolled back. he sat next to Jane and wrapped an arm around her 'You're dealing with the number one girl to set things on fire, right here' he pointed at her, proud.
