"hm.. yeah" Jane thought about it while she fed the horses. She could've left, with Jax, finish their journey and do what they had planned all along, getting rich. "You're welcome.. i'm not sure why we're still here actually... I can pretend it's cause we're such good friends but that's not really true.." Jane tried to find an answer as to why she did not agree with Jax to flee while they still had a chance, he had brought it up twice during the night and she had blown him off twice as well....

Nicolas smirked, "There's a comforting thought," He joked. He tilted his head to watch Jane while she moved from one horse to the next. "You're not such a bad friend as you think you are." He said.

"Guess not..." she smirked and walked over to Nicolas after she had laid some food for the horses down. "Jax did want to leave last night... twice.. I turned it down, didn't want to hear about it. He seems a bit different lately, and I asked him why he wanted to go to california so badly..I mean, the gold isn't going anywhere, it doesn't matter if we get there two days later.. he didn't have an answer... it's odd"

"Maybe he just wants to be amongst the two of you. Jax doesn't play particularily well with others either." Nicolas suggested, moving aside a little so Jane could take a seat on the hay next to him.

"Little early to be drinking. Then again, I don't have plans today. You?" Nicolas smirked, raising an eyebrow at her. He could seriously use a drink too, it would dull the pain and make time go a lot faster.
