Maria gasped and sat up, smashing her head into Thomas' cheek, who gave a yelp and jumped up.
"What the hell Maria?!?!" He said, then stopped as he took in the fact that she was shaking, "What is it?"
"I had a dream... well actually more of a nightmare... there was this man and..." Maria paused, why...? Why was it so hard to remember?
"It was just a dream." Thomas said, laying a hand on her shoulder.

Danny nodded.
"It's cold", he said. "Let me get a fire going."
He tossed some logs into the fire place and lit them.
Freddy growled as everyone pretended he didn't exist.
"My children will soon see me again."

"Okay," Dixie said, frowning. "God, is it just me or does it feel like someone's watching us?"
Madeline rolled her eyes.
"You're just being paranoid. Don't tell me you believe in ghosts!"

He pulled Dixie in for a kiss.
"That's what happens if you love horror movies and ghost stories."

Maria nodded, "Yeah..." She smiled up at him, "Thanks."
Then she stood, "I'll just go get a drink before heading to bed... see you tomorrow."
"Good night." Thomas called to her as he headed to his own room.
Maria had no intentions of sleeping again that night, but she didn't want to look like a child in front of Tom, so she brewed a large cup of coffee and settled down in front of the TV again.

Dixie smiled and leaned in to kiss Danny.
"Hey, I can't help it if I love horror! You know what we should do? We should watch a horror movie to see how scared we can get."
Madeline rolled her eyes.
"I thought you were just complaining about being scared?"

Danny had his arm wrapped around Dixie's waist as they walked to school.
"Well, here we are again", he sighed.
He looked around the school yard looking for a place for them to sit down.
"Hey, Maria!" he called

Maria blinked, God it was hard to focus, she looked in the direction of her name being called. It took her a minute to recognize Danny and Dixie's forms. "Hey..." She said sleepily, stifling a yawn with one hand and waving with another.
Maria was wearing an large black coat, one of Thomas' with an red shirt and black jeans underneath it. An gray satchel decorated with many pins hung around her.

Danny and Dixie walked over to Maria and sat next to her.
"You okay?" he asked. "You don't look so hot. You and Thomas been at it all night?"

"Tch-ack?!?!" An stifled yell was all that was Maria's response as her eyes went wide at his comment. Glaring and blushing she swung a mock punch at Danny, "If you EVER say anything like that again I WILL kill you!"
There was a faint crackling sound and Maria quickly lowered her hand, not wanting to burn her sometimes annoying friend. They accepted her, but she hadn't told them about her powers yet.
