Maria and the others followed Danny and Dixie to the car. Danny and Dixie were driven off and Maria turned to Johnny, "Did he tell you anything?"
The guitarist shook his head.
Maria paused, contemplating if she should warn him about Freddie or not.

"He'll come back", he whispered. "He'll come back."

"Who?" Dixie asked, putting an arm around him. "Who's coming back? I'll protect you, don't worry."

"It's nothing." Maria said at last, turning to walk off campus. She couldn't believe it, but she was going to the library. She had to figure out what was going on.
The sound of footsteps behind her made her turn, the girl with brown hair was following her, "What do you want pip squeek?"
"I heard him." Anna said in an small voice, "About the man with knives."
"You did..."
Anna nodded, "I had a dwream last night too... I saw him... his name is Fwreddie."
Maria let out a breath, "How good are you at reading English?"
"Good." Anna said, "I could pwrobably beat you."
Maria rolled her eyes, but said, "Fine. Follow me."
The two headed off towards the library, where they could hopefully find some answers.

"Must...stay awake", Danny said. "Must...stay awake."
He closed his eyes afraid of what'll happen.
"One, two Freddy's coming for you. Three, four better lock the door. Five, six grab your crucifix. Seven, eight better stay awake. Nine, ten never sleep again."
Danny opened his eyes.
"Do you hear them?" he asked.
He looked at Dixie, but saw Freddy instead. He screamed loud.
"Sounds like someone's hearing things."
Freddy ran his knives along Danny's ear.
Danny's ear was getting sliced off.

"Danny?"
Dixie shook her head.
"No, I don't hear anything."
She panicked when he started screaming and waved her hand in front of his face.
"Danny, snap out of it!"

"Wake me up!" Danny yelled.
"You know that's not going to work", Freddy said.
He pressed the tip of his knife against Danny's forehead.

Maria was looking through was reading through an section of an particularly old and dusty book when she felt an hand grab her shoulder. She almost yelled when she looked up to see Thomas, he was frowning down at her.
"Aren't you supposed to be in school?" His eyes landed on the book she was reading, noticing the caption at the top, "Dream demons...?" He looked back at her, "Does this have anything to do with your nightmare last night?"
Unable to think of anything to say Maria nodded, she really couldn't lie to him. The fib with the dream last night had been easy because she'd been so scared but now..., "Yes..." She admitted quietly.
"Do you know anything about a man named Freddie?" Anna pipped up from the other side of the table.
"Freddie?" Thomas repeated, "Freddy... Kruger? He's just a legend, kid."
"We had dwreams about him... he's a monstwer" Anna protested, despite Maria's head shaking.

Danny screamed as he woke up.
"It was him!" he said. "He came back!"
He ut his hand up to his ear and found blood.
