'I finally get to learn how to sword fight!' Valeria stood up with a smile on her face, replying, "I'm a quick learner. This will be interesting."

"Good because in the world of pirates ye need to be a quick learner." He paused. "We start tomorrow. Of course ye will need a break to attend yer kitchen duties but other then that ye will work on yer sword fighting skills."

"Alright then. Thank you, captain." Valeria paused, looking out the window. "I suppose I should be getting to bed now. I'll see you in the morning then. Goodnight." She smiled and stood up, heading back down below deck and falling asleep finally.

"There is a chest...The Chest of Calypso. Perhaps you've heard of it?" Beckett said.
"Yes. I have. Why?" She knew though. She expected the Royal Navy to be after it as well.
"I see you have Jack's wonderful compass..." He trailed off.
Starry turned to Joshua, who stood next to her. "Fire."
"Fire!!!" Joshua called out as a lutentiant on Beckett's side did the same.
Both Starry and Beckett stood across from each other on their ships as cannons and screams echoed about them.

That night Valeria's dreams were full of her and Captain Barbossa sword fighting. She won some and lost some, but each round was heated and exciting. At one point she somehow ended on top of the captain, her heart fluttering like a butterfly in her chest as she lowered her head, kissing him with a fiery passion. As she slept Valeria tossed and turned from her steamy dream.

"It's just good business." Beckett muttered.
Finally Starry had, had enough. She snatched a rope and jumped up on the railing and swung herself over to the Intersepter, crashing into Beckett, the two of them toppling about the deck in a confused tangle of limbs.

Valeria was sweating now as her squirming kept up, awaking one of the crew members nearby. He shook her lightly, seeing if she was alright, causing her to jolt upright as she awoke. "Oh! I'm so sorry. I was having... a bad dream. Yes, just a little nightmare." If she told him the truth, it would embarrass her to no end. The only person she would be willing to tell was... well, the captain. But he might think her disgusting if she did, so Valeria would just keep her mouth shut about it. Or would he? 'No, get back to bed, Valeria. The captain doesn't want to hear about your erotic dreams.' And so she did, trying to have another mermaid dream instead.

Several crew members of the Royal Navy pulled the two of them apart, although Starry had given Beckett a bruised jaw. She would have drawn her sword if it weren't for the shackels that were quickly placed around her wrists. She was shoved into Beckett's captain's cabin and he soon followed.

The night seemed too long as Valeria fell in and out of sleep, her mermaid dream constantly being interrupted by the dream of her and the captain fighting/kissing. It was no use; she would just have to endure the dream and each time someone woke her up, she would say the nightmare lie again.

"Just what is it you want from me Beckett?" Starry asked, glaring at him. "What really irritates me is someone who beats around the bush."
"Perhaps we could strike a deal." He said, sitting down at his table and filling a glass of tea and dropping a sugar cube into it.
"What kind of deal?"
He stirred his tea and took a drink before answering. "One that requires only your cooperation."
