I look at her silently, searching for the harshness in her words, or the trick that I'm about to fall for. But there's nothing there. Aye.. that's Cassandra as she is. You can't calculate her. You don't know when she's try to kill you and when she'll be.. just a girl. In front of me now is the side of her that's just that girl. The side of which I almost forgot its existance. I smile slightly, and force myself to divert my eyes back to the horizon once again. "Who knows, luv." I state.

Since the end of the storm, all evening I've been reading the logbook, thinking, and drinking. A combination of things that can easily make or break a person. In this case it's quite surprisingly relaxed me. Halfway through, I put the book down. Is it worth knowing *anything* about this man? What benifit will it do me? Tossing it in a corner, I decide to venture updecks. (AHAHA! Omg you guys I was reading that going, "Ouch. . ." the whole time ;D)

(haha, that's what you get if we randomize ) "Finally, some peace and quiet around here." I teasingly grin at her, and make a broad armgesture telling her to go ahead and sod off already. When she does walk of I watch her go though, that twinkle of amusement staying in my eyes. I watch her until she disppears belowdecks, and then I look at the horizon instead. Would I still take her there? Not over my dead body. But that would make one hell of a pleasant way to go.I smirk and absent-mindedly turn the ring around my indexfinger over and over again.

"Reminiscing, are we?" I chuck the book at him playfully, not explaining.

A failed attempt to catch the book results in it coming to a stop at the bottom of the stairs. I glance over to Rae and give her a half-hearted smirk, "Sure, attack the distracted pirate why won't you?" I gesture her to come sit with me.

I do as instructed. . .but I never fail to ask a question when I'm practically invited to it. He does look distracted indeed. "What's bothering you?" I really have no suspcions; it's been quite a calm evening.

(oki I'm gone! Will be at the meeting for a few days so.. ta! ;D ) I slip an arm around her waist so that she's sitting against me, and I glance at her face with a boyish grin. "Why would anything bother me now, eh?" I question, avoiding any answer.
