I frown and stick a finger in that ear, "Now me ears are ringing." I mumble under my breath.
Ah, she's being the most annoying wench as I remember her to be.
She didn't change one bit.

I carry on helping the crew, glancing up at him every now and then as i usually do. I cant help it.

Somewhat later everything is back to normal aboard the Pearl. Night is falling, and I allowed most of the crew to retreat to the crews quarters and rest from the storm. Only a small number of them are still updecks to keep watch: one in the crowsnest, one on decks, one at the helm.
I'm still there as well though. I checked on Rae, who was alive and well in the cabin. And I took my leave again soon after. Taking the book she had given me earlier along as I went updecks..
I walk up two steps towards the helm and take a seat there, leaning my back against the railing. I look at the cover of the book and then carefully crack it open, curious of what I may find in there.
