An old rpg ... starting a new ...
In 1623 a scooner, carrying a woman, Marie Shaw, to Port Royal for her wedding, is sunk in the shallow shores near Port Royal, Jamaica.
One hundred years later, a ship, The Black Pearl, comes across the ruins of the scooner. Not hearing legends and superstitions of bad luck coming across those who disturb the water around it, The crew jumps into the water to retrieve any gold. The myths, the legends and superstitions, were placed around the area not from truth but from locals wanting the area to be left alone.
The crews pull up chests of gold, old dress worth a fortune, and a woman ... a woman undisturbed from her eternal sleep by natural decay. Around her neck a gold necklace that would not come off.
When the locket finall comes off ... the woman awakens ... alive ...

HISTORY: daughter of the 1620s Jamaica's Govenor's, first in command, Commodore. Her mother died when she was 10 before she died she gave Marie an amulet/necklace; saying if she wore this she would always be there to protect her. This would be proven true when 12 years later Marie was said to have drowned in a ship wreck; the amulet put her in a hybernation like sleep. Asleep, unaging, until she is found and brought to the surface.
