I think they have fangs since they are able to drink the blood of humen after all. The Cullens drink the blood of animals though because they are "vegetarians".. so they need fangs, otherwise it wouldnt work I think-

*stumbles in on the discussion* They don't have fangs I think somewhere in Twilight Edward says they "have other weapons". Anyway, Stephenie said on her myspace thread that they don't need fangs, they are so strong. They compare Edward's hunting style to a mountain lion. . .I guess they pounce, they feed, they're done. I think their teeth are so indestructible it doesn't take much. Steph says on trying to hurt a vampire: "Try stabbing a pencil through a granite countertop."

^^ but there has to be something with the teeth after all. Because of this.. what is it called "venom".. or the stuff that turns you into a vampire you know.. Doesn't it come through the teeth?

The venom is in their saliva, I'm guessing. Bella actually swallows a bit of venom, in the chapter where she eats after Edward- the pizza.

eh... little different in the "changing" with Lestat, in his books he drains their blood then gives them his,and they repeat the process until a certain time and the person he's changing has their "human death" where everything that was human dies out and is replace with the "Dark Gift" as Lestat calls it.
He's got alot of philosophies about what he is and refers to the Earth as a "Savage Garden".

That's good, Edward has a lot of strategies about what he is, too. Basically he believes that after he was changed, he lost his soul. No matter how much good he does, he thinks he's damned. He's always talking about how Bella shouldn't have anything to do with him because of that. So maybe Lestat and Edward will have something in common in that respect, that's pretty awesome.

^lol. Lestat with the soul thing, he has this "I don't care" attitude, i'm re-reading the 2nd book where he explains how he came to be.lol its kinda funny because he broke like all the vampires rules in his first ten years. Like according to his vampires, your not suposed to turn children, lol he turned a 6 year old little girl who them tried to kill him.I think Lestat and Edward should like get together in the RPG and talk things over. lol Edward might find out him and Lestat have more in common than he thinks *huggles her Vampire Lestat book* my blondy.lol

^ with Lestat there's Marharet, who is the oldest vampire in the world, then they'res the crazy vampires who thing they searve God by killing people, and they came up with all these stupid rules like "if your over 200 you have to kill yourself (Lestat's 226,so he broke that),you can't live amoung mortals (strike 2 on Lestat),you can't change little kids (strike 3),and if the mortal's ugly, you can't turn them.lol.
