Captain Jack Sparrow, upon stealing the mystical sea charts that were in possession of Captain Hector Barbossa, is after not only the Fountain of Youth, but his ship, the Black Pearl, and the mysterious chalice - the only thing that can ignite the Fountain and make him immortal. Apart from the fact that he already has Barbossa as an enemy, his horizon is invaded by yet another occupant, his other nemesis, Lord Michael Kincaid of the East India Trading Company, an ally of Lord Cutler Beckett. As the rumours spread about the chalice, charts, the Black Pearl, and about Jack himself, he must be on the race against time - in order to get immortality and its fringe benefits: the rum and the sorty wenches. Times are darker and almost run out. Will witty Jack be the Caged Sparrow or will he be the Sparrow in Flight?

Meanwhile...

Elizabeth has given birth to a child, William Turner III. She is desperate for Will, to share her baby and happiness, but he is lost at sea. She knows she will see him once every ten years, but she isn't satisfied with the amount of time she and their child will be able to see him. Her child is now four years old, and she is desperate for a way to live longer to be with him - for a much longer time.
With her child, she travels to Tortuga, where she overhears a certain familiar mate of hers, Mister Joshamee Gibbs, speaking to a group of pirates in the middle of a poker game. What she overhears may just be the source of help she was looking for: a way to immortality: the Fountain of Youth.
Desperate for Will and her child, she tries to move heaven and earth to get what she needs - immortality.
For years, she and her child search for the Fountain of Youth, when they finally meet Will - and Elizabeth divulges her plan. He leads her to Jack - the man who has all of what they need...

Weapons: Is skilled with a sword and pistol.

Job: Mercenary.

History: Born in Southampton, England to a family of sailors, it was always in Julia's blood to go to sea. After eloping at the age of 17 with a sailor, she found herself abandoned and working as a whore in Tortuga to make ends meet. Then she met Jack Sparrow and was inspired to begin a new life as a pirate. Unfortunately, she was captured by the Royal Navy and forced to work for the East India Company but managed to escape during the confusion in Singapore.

What's In It For Her?: She wants an new adventure, a new ship...and a new man!

History: Sophia was born and raised in Tortuga where she worked first as a maid and offered company to sailors and pirates. She fell in love with one pirate, Owen Penn who took her with him on his ship, the Jewel of Atlantis, when she was eighteen. They had been looking for a legendary chalice, but could not find it, so they decided to return to Tortuga for new leads. The ship was attacked by the East India Trading Co. on the way back to Tortuga. Sophia barely escaped and managed to make it to the island, where she met Jack Sparrow. She wants revenge on the East India Trading Co. She is also afraid now of dying since she only narrowly escaped, and desperately wants immortality.

Weapons: Sophia is a brilliant with any sword or pistol, and is also handy with knives, cannons, and blunderbusses. She also knows and carries a few poisons.

Although he can be treacherous, Jack survives mostly by using wit and negotiation over weapons and force. He prefers to flee dangerous situations, but will fight if necessary. Jack is introduced as seeking to regain his ship the Black Pearl from his mutinous first mate Hector Barbossa, and throughout the sequels, attempts to escape his blood debt to Davy Jones and battles the East India Trading Company. Despite his roguish and cowardly nature, he is nonetheless an honorable and likeable character.

He and his mother have been searching for the Fountain of Youth since he was four.
