He is a she. And we are accepting new characters. But, not ones with a written god-complex, has properties that are controlling other's characters, and were the pros of the character are subjective.
What we find wrong with your characters:
Pros:
-Is very witty and smart ((one persons intellect is another person's idiocy))
-Is beautiful ((Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; and all have different tastes))
Those two pros are very subjective and differ from taste to taste.
And Jack has fallen in love with her-she has the power to make men fall in love with her and her only...but she doesn't know that either, nor does she know that Jack loves her.....(ooh lala)!
With dealing like this with characters that are not yours, you take away the person's controll of their own character. You must ask permission of the play

For god's sake....
I'm getting very tired of this stupidity and I might just shut this rp down, keep to myself and others that think like me.
Two, I AM A GIRL IT SAYS SO WHERE IT SAYS MY GENDER... I do not appreciate being called a guy, or having word's put in my mouth that I have not stated myself, as in

Which by the way, she is a mary-sue, and quite sickeningly so.
If I have to see this again, I'm shutting Haunted Shores down.
Scarlett IS Accepted, however "One of the most feared lady pirates in the seven seas." needs to be altered a bit...
Wilhelmina Appleby is also accepted.

Um excuse me, but I really do think that youre being rather harsh here. I mean wtf, guys... I know that the attachment to characters before the rp begins is out of order but the rest is fine. She can say that her character is whatever she likes her to be. You cant have an open roleplay and then turn people away because you dislike their choice of character, some people have joint roleplays ive been in before as dolls and cats and other weird things but I just ignore it because its the mature thing to do. I think this goes against 2 of the guidelines on this board.
1/ The roleplays are for everyone (unless it is made out to be a private rp)
2/ Be nice to other members
You are really not taking this situation well at all, im actually quite disappointed in you because its not like youre the newbies around here. Just because someone dosnt use a picture of themselves as a character and dosnt make everything as youre used to dosnt mean that they are wrong in doing so.
If you dont apologise than im going to get quite annoyed.

I am sorry... but this has nothing to with not posting a picture of themselves as the character, I don't care about that. Its to do with God-moding the character...
I also never said it was closed to others.
However I will bite my tongue and apologize.
Jack's Wife, I'm sorry I declined your character, and I'm sorry I have to state my mind, however I do feel that I should be allowed to speak how I feel, and I feel that Elizabeth Hartford would not be able to function in THIS role play... there is no place for her that I can see. If you PM Jacksbonnielass and ask her if you can be in love with Jack, than I will accept Elizabeth Hartford.
I will hold my tongue because it can only get me in trouble and I don't wish to be. My actions are my own and are justified. However, I'm sorry for sounding rude and or b!tchy.

But, I'm not apologizing for the fact that the character she submited has a trait that is controlling another character. I would be fine if she asked permission of the other character's player. It is morally and ethically wrong, in terms of rpgs, to controll a character without permission. ((THAT is the main reason for not accepting the character))I would be FINE if she changed that SINGLE trait of her character. Her character IS interesting; but that one trait puts me off. I am refraining from saying anything more because of the fact it could get me banned. BUT, I refuse to not explain myself or my actions or opinions. Which I have done in previous posts. It's called constructive criticism. |

^^Sorry about that. I guess what I meant my character to say was that she was having an affair with Jack. I kind of copied down what was going on in The Storm of a Sparrow and didn't bother to edit anything but the name.
But...maybe if you kind of said it more politely, it would be a little nicer, because I don't really appreciate how rude you guys were.
I'm kind of new to RPing, and I'm really glad that Daz stood up for me.
I only started The Storm of a Sparrow and The Return of the Black Pearl (the RP) and I only RP with a few other people because they know I'm new. And they're nice to me. And they tell me, politely, when I do something they don't like.
If you wanted me to change my character, I wouldn't mind. Captain Will Turner did say she didn't want my character, and I was okay with that. But you guys started going over the moon with your extremeness.
I would appreciate it if you aren't so rude with me anymore. And no, I didn't go off complaining to Daz, she wrote on her own.
Thanks so much, Daz, at least some people could be nice.
