Woah... Okay...
I started RPing because most of you were so involved in it, and I decided to try it out myself. And as soon as I started RPing, I understood why it was more than a simple passtime. It's even more than a hobby for some people, and for me too.
RPing is like imagining yourself as a character of a book. A book, full of adventures, passions, fights... Most of the things that can happen in RP, will never happen in real life... And I just can behave differently in a RP, not bothering to think what other people will say about me and about my behaviour. RP gives me freedom to express my emotions - or the emotions of my character, but sometimes they intertwine.
I can pretend to be someone better, stronger, smarter, wittier, more passionate and fierce.

I agree with Lana here. And what I would like to add: You get to be creative in rps. You get to think of characters, plots, stories, actions and reactions.. It's like writing a book - but interactive with other writers. And that's what I like most about rping. You *need* eachother to create a story; and the story stays a surprise to you *because* others are involved with writing it. I guess the creativity of the rp is my main reason to rp  |

hmm yes i agree on that i think. but why did you start with it? i dont really know anymore how it all begun. it started somehow and it... just kept rolling and started to roll faster and now i cant stop it anymore..

My first rp was 'a new year in tortuga', I believe. With an old member called 'chocolat' and another girl.. and later with Han. Soon after there was 'curse of the ring', if I'm not mistaken. I started cos.. hell, I never heard of rping but it sounded like fun - so I figured, why not give it a try? I LOVED it, although I didn't take it that seriously.. not untill curse of the ring got more serious, that is |
