I wrote one for High Tide tonight, and I was so surprised there wasn't a thread for poems! Come on, lovely people, show us whatcha got! :jig:

High Tide
Blackened skies
Pricked with diamond stars
High Tide
Your eyes
Melting in the dark.

One kiss
Many lies
No one wants to save
One kiss
She tries
Forgetting with each wave.

Black Pearl
Call it home
Call it what you will
Black Pearl
Sinking soon
Water overspills.

I write tons of poems, I've written some poems for rp's aswell.. here's one I wrote for Healing Rain:

Black Love
I said I'd never give you up
but loving you like this is tough
this thin line between pleasure and pain
starts slowly to vanish away

I said that you were never alone
but these promises got harder to hold
afraid that all I said were lies
truths decieved through my dark eyes

But in the end you keep me balancing
on this thin line we keep fighting
my Black Beauty, how could I not know
only you could love this Black Rose

Okay.. so I dont usually do this sort of thing but when I was thinking of High Tide I got this into my mind.. I write it in a pretty random way and its all a kind of metaphor. I guess its good english revision for my exam ..

High Tide.
Wave In.
Upon the Pure White Blanket,
a claw reaching in.
dragging back
dark brown silk
revealing
smooth black stones
cold and vunerable.
drag new in.
drag old out.
changing faces.
covering up.
swirling masks of spray
above the surface.
wearing away.
drag in new
drag out old
a mist of broken
single small specks.

Low Tide.
Wave Out.
changing faces.
changed.
dark brown silk
dries to pure white blanket.
black stones covered.
untill another day.

OOOH, I love them!

Here's mine, written REALLY much time ago, maybe even a year now it seems stupid and ugly, but I loved it back then, so I am gonna post it:

I so don’t want to lie,
I’d love to be sincere.
My silence makes me cry,
But I must hide my tears.

I just can’t let you know
What’s happening to me...
I’m so afraid to show
That things are not how they should be.

I love you, trust you... But
I don’t know what you’d say.
I’ll tell you nothing... Just
I’ll make it go the other way.

I’m so afraid of losing you
If you know what’s wrong with me.
By all means, I will stay with you.
And make it all how it should be.
