It's already late when I set foot in Port Royal. The Pearl arrived early in the afternoon, but I anchored her safely outside the bay instead of in the harbour. After all, the authorities are still trying to get a hold of me and I don't have any illusion of walking into Port Royal safe and sound with another grand entrance. So after the Pearl was safely out of sight, I took one of the longboats and went into town more discretely when the night fell.
Aye, the night fell about an hour ago. The streets are dark and a chilly wind is blowing. It rained earlier that day, which took most of the Caribbean heat out of the stone and structure of the buildings in town. I put my hat somewhat further over my face as I continue my way. My destination? The governors mansion. I have no doubt I'd find the blushing bride there.. who - with a little luck - might just tell me all about the couple's plans.
I make a face thinking about it. I found out the marriage is tomorrow, so I'm well on time. But that doesn't mean I'd care much to witness the ceremony. On the contrary. I do believe that the Turner lad is a poor match for our miss Swann. He'd hardly keep up with her lively spirit, I imagine. Perhaps he'd even manage to dim out that particular fire that I quite came to adore.
Pushing those thoughts aside I pick up my pace, turning around the corner into the right street. The mansion is ahead of me now.. and I take a brief moment figuring out how I suppose to get in unnoticed.

I stand in my bedroom. Staring into the my mirror. My mind is full of so much at this moment in time... I cannot believe that our wedding day is now so close.. i just hope it dosnt rain again.. as it has been these last few days. I want it to be just perfect.

After I snuck into the garden I spot one window from which a dim light is burning. "Up so late, eh miss Swann?" I mumble under my breath, and I chuckle softly. Time to pay the bride to be a short visit. I rub my hands together, then start climbing up. It's a darn pain that ladies always have their bedrooms up so high, really. It would safe a lad such as myself a lot of trouble if they'd just sleep on the groundfloor instead. But without too much trouble (only fell down once) I eventually reach her balcony, and I leap over the railing so my boots sound with a soft 'thud' on the stone. The windows closed, but because the room's lit I can still see inside. I lean against the railing of the balcony for a second, not quite eager to make my presence known yet. This could be fun.

I hear some quiet noises from outside, but dismiss it as an animal in the gardens... and with that i take off my over gown, sitting on the side of my bed. Its odd. As much as i want to marry will, i can feel something holding me back... the very thing thats keeping me from sleeping now. And i know what that is... I know.... but its so wrong...

A minor smile touches my lips when she slips of her gown. But before I can get too sidetracked here, I notice that she looks rather.. well, absent for a young bride, eh? Shouldn't she be dancing and singing happily 'til morning comes? I shrug my shoulders to myself - what do I know of brides, then again. The only one I know is the Faithfull Bride, and she's a whole different type. Smirking to that thought, I step forward at last and softly tap against the window to make my presence known.

As i sit here in this day dream, i jump out of my skin as i her a tap from the window... I shoot a glance strait towards it... and have to look twice before i can make out who it is standing there... no. Alright, this is some pathetic dream......
... maybe not.....
I stand and put my over gown back on as i approach the window.

"Are ye gonna let me in, luv, or should I just freeze to death?" I ask her, knowing it's just loud enough for her to hear even through the closed window. I give her a golden grin.

"what are you DOING here?!" I shoot a sharp whisper at him... but open it anyway... "you shouldnt be anywhere near here! everyone be after you! just last week the navy desided to put up a reward... this is fool-worthy, Jack..."

I step into her room and take of my hat; a small stream of raindrops runs down the edge and falls onto her bedroom floor but I pay it no mind. I give her a subtle grin, before I step further into the room and sort of investigate it. "Fool-worthy eh?" I question, my eyes no longer on her but sweeping through the lady's room instead, "Then I think you just answered yer own question, luv." I pick up a golden layered box from her low dressoir, inspect it with a critics eye and then put it down again. Nonetheless I keep curiously looking through her things.

I turn quickly and frown at him before walking over, as fast as i can without running and making too much noise... "no no no... get OUT!" I mutter under my breath
