"...Try and remember me too, alrigh'?" I give her a slight smirk, but I know that she'll realize that I'm actually serious about this. For a moment it's silent, the two of us just looking at eachother.. until eventually I look down to our hands again. "...here," I then say, and I remove the skull-ring that I got when I first joined a pirate ship from my ring finger. "I want you to have it." I hold it up for her.

I hold out my hand so he can put it onto my finger. For a moment I have to swallow hard. A ring on my finger.. it could have gone different..
"I.. will never forget you.." I tell him and I know it is true. I will never be able to love someone else. That chance is gone.. when he dies.. everything for me that was worth living for will be gone for eternity.

Tears start to run down my cheeks again. It should have gone different. This is not the way it was supposed to be.
"I love you too..." I tell him. "She will be waiting for you.. having new sails.. and being ready for you to sail away.. towards to the horizon.. every sunset.. I will be there with my thoughts.."

I hold my arms around her again, looking into her eyes as the slightest smile creeps to my features "Despite it all.. I'm glad I ever met you." I tell her, "And I'm glad to have gotten to know the wonderfull woman behind the mermaids mask. You showed me a world I didn't know, luv.. you were the first to show me love. I'll never forget that." I give her a kiss on the bridge of her nose, then finally break our embrace. I don't think we could've asked a better goodbye.

At those words I feel myself battling my conscience, part of me wanting to let it be that way (the scallywag, selfish part), another part prefering *her* to be happy. And eventually, the last wins. For once the piratical side is surpressed. And to be honest, it doesn't surprise me much.
"...Try." I say, "You deserve someone who can give you the horizon now that I can't. Find your freedom, cos I'll try an' find mine." I give her a last slight smile, and know that we have to quit this or we'll end up staying together after all. "...Let's go. I got a ship to find."

I look after him for a moment, not saying the words I want to scream out. I will never find peace somewhere else again.. but in death.
He brought me my freedom and I will find it. I feel I cannot love again and I dont want to love again. It is over.. I gave my heart to one person; Captain Jack Sparrow and I will never be able to take it back.
