Will walked in the tavern, taking off his hat. If he would get news about Jack Sparrow it would be here. The last stories and rumours about him had come from here. He looked around for the moment and one thing was for sure: Jack Sparrow wasn't here.
He walked over to the bar and sat down, his eyes still wandering through the room. The only other people who were here were girls, most likely whores.
He could use one of those, but not now, maybe later.
"Hey sweetcheeks" Will called the barmaid "Get me a rum.." He shove some money over to her "And be so sweet to tell me where Jack Sparrow be, will ya?"
Vega looked up from a ways down the bar where she was sitting when she heard Will say something about Jack.
"Sparrow?" She asked, grinning slightly under the tri-cornered hat she wore. "What'cha lookin' for such an old man for?" She loved making fun of her dad's age, even if he wasn't here at the time to bicker with her about it.
She wore a pair of black trousers and a dirty black shirt over which she had a big black coat on with shiny buttons she liked to keep polished. She had the tri-cornered hat on, but underneath she had a red bandanna on, although she liked to switch out the colors often.
Will turned his head towards the girl when she spoke. "You know where he is?" He asked. He couldn't see her eyes and it slightly annoyed him. He moved over to her and tapped her up a bit with two fingers so he could look her in the eyes.
"Much better." He grinned at her. "Well do you?"
Vega smirked at him a little, but held back from grinning just yet.
"And who wants know?"
She looked him over, not recognizing him from anywhere.
"Will Turner does." Will told her with a small smirk, letting his eyes wander over her face. "And you are, mylady?" His eyes turned somewhat mocking when he called her like that since she surely didn't look like a lady at all.
"Will Turner?" Vega asked, not answering his question about her name yet. "How's it your on land? I thought you had another five years before you could come off."
She'd heard all the pirates stories out there about The Flying Dutchman and William Turner. But mostly from Jack and Captain Teague had she heard the true stories.
Will couldn't help but chuckle now. He turned towards the barmaid and ordered rum. "So you know Jack Sparrow." He started since not too many knew the story of his father. He didn't answer her question though.
Will took the rum from the bar and turned to her. "Well..?"
Vega grinned at him a little, unable to help it. She didn't often meet men like him-- handsome, no doubt. But also, if he was Will Turner, it made it all the more exciting. Think of the stories he would have after being Captain of the Flying Dutchman.
"Know 'em?" She laughed, then held out her hand for him to shake, "Vega Sparrow's me name. I'm 'is daughter."
Gotcha. There you go. Good news for sure. "Ah.." Will nodded slowly. "So when you are his daugher love.. you can surely tell me where your old man is right now?" He questioned. He didn't take her illusion yet that she thought he was the captain of the Dutchman.. it might come handly after all.
"Would tell ya.... if I knew." Vega shrugged, "Sorry, I never know where he is. At times he comes to see me, but that's it." She grinned, "Why would you be wantin' to see 'im anyway? He's no good any more. I'm much better, I promise." She said in a sly voice.
"Oh, I really believe you are." He grinned and ran his hand over her jawline for a moment before turning back to his rum.
"Very well.. then do you know where he *could* be?"
"Nay."
Vega shook her head, now slightly supsicious of his questioning.
"How come yer lookin' to find him so bad. That might jog my memory and maybe I'd 'appen to remember where he said he was goin'."
"I happen to nee' to ask him a question" Will told her. "What is it then, you need to refresh your memory?" He asked and raised suggestivly an eyebrow. The daughter of the infamouse Captain Jack Sparrow wouldn't be an information whore or something, now would she? Well.. maybe she actually would be.
Vega laughed at his attempts, turning in her seat.
"Do you think that Captain Jack Sparrow's daughter would so easily tell you information without knowing anything of what you want? You must have lost your head, William Turner, after spending so much time on the Dutchman underwater, I suppose."
Will chuckled now and emptied his mug of rum. "Ah, yes, maybe my brain got a bit weak by the water.." He smirked and turned towards now. "Alright, sunshine. How about you tell me what you want for the information"
"Well, first, I want to know why you want to know where me father is. Yer not plannin' to kill 'em, are you? He saved yer life, remember?"
Vega pointed at him, not drinking any rum. She wasn't as quick as her father still after a few glasses of rum. She was a disastorous drunk.
He saved Wills life.. of course. Though that that Will was.. another Will who was unfortunatly underwater, weaking his brain. "Ah.. no love, I am not planing to kill your father actually." He orders another rum and orders one for her aswell since she doesn't have anything to drink. "Lets say.. I have to ask him a question."
"Well, what be the question?"
Vega asked quickly, not refusing the rum he ordered her. She wasn't stupid enough to refuse any rum. Her father would think that a sin.
"How can I be sure that you are who you say you are and that the answer *will* actually refresh your memory?" Will asks her now, more sceptically.
"Can't be sure." Vega said with a cute smile, "Never can be sure. Don't you like to take chances, Will Turner?" She glanced around, "Hey, didn't you have a wife? Elizabeth Swann, right? My father told me a lot about her." She winked.
Oh great, maybe this was getting a step to far. He really didn't want to know the glorious details of what Jack Sparrows dirty mind wanted to do with his mother or what he might have told his daughter about her.
"Hmm.." He replied therefor "Don't you like rum, miss Sparrow?" Will asked her and nodded at the rum she hadn't touched til now.
"Course..." Vega let her fingers dance over the rum mug, but she didn't pick it up. She had several rings on her finger, one of them was what Jack had given her on her 20th birthday two years ago. She treasured it more than anything else he'd given her... well almost more than anything else.
"I'm just not quite thirsty enough yet." She grinned, "Maybe if you told me more of what you wanted with my father, I would be."
"I need something he owns." Will tells her, watching her face intently as he does so.
Vega raised a brow, "Something he owns?" She asked suspiciously almost. "Like what? He's not willin' to give anything up either. What'cha gonna trade for?"
"You ask a lot of questions, hun." Will told her. "How about you drink some?" He had noticed that she didn't drink any of the rum and that made him think that she wasn't a heavy drinker.. he kind of waited for the confirmatioin of that
"Is that a challenge, Will Turner?"
Vega smirked, then lifted the rum mug to her lips and drank it all down. She'd learned to drink like Jack, just not hold her liquor quite so well after some glasses.
"Maybe it is." He smirked and watched her while she drank it. "So.. well if you are Captain Sparrows daughter.. you surely know the map." He started off, waiting though until she was finished drinking.
Vega glanced at him, lowering the mug and licking her lips.
"The map, eh? The round one? Is that what you're after from ol' Jack?" She shook her head, "Well, I'm sad to say, you'll no longer find it in his posession."
Ough. Bad news. "Ah.." Will nodded slowly. "Since you tell me this so confidentially.. you surely do know where it is now, don't you?"
Vega grinned over at him, the same grin Jack Sparrow used often.
"I have it."
Will whistled softly through his teeth. "That is nice.." He told her with a grin. "How about.. you sell it to me?"
"How about you tell me why it is you want it."
Vega smirked a little, no having the upperhand on this deal.
"See love.. I need to go after something.. which is important for the rest of my life." He told her vaguely
"Something that's on that map?" Vega shook her head, "Why aren't you just still on the Dutchman?"
"Ah see love.. that is the point. I have never been on it." Will watched her face while he told her the truth, wondering if she would believe him or not.
Vega frowned a little, trying to comprehend.
"Are you not Will Turner then?" She shook her head, "I don't understand."
"Oh I am." Will flashed her a grin when he saw her confusion. "Trust me, I really am. I am just not the one you think I am."
Vega frowned, but then she grinned a little.
"Yer his son? Yer a sly devil, Will Turner. I like you."
She winked.
"Ah, smart lass." Will grinned. "That is a good thing, luvvy, since I happen to like you too. But I'd like you even more if you'd tell me what to do to get that map of yours."
"First you gotta tell me what exactly it is you want it for." Vega turned to him, "And note the fact that I said exactly."
"My father." Will answers matter of factly. "The heart was stolen." A bitter tone can be heard in his voice now.
Vega moved up closer to him on the edge of her bar seat. "By who?" Her eyes flashed at the sound of an adventure almost.
"Someone who will make you help me to find the heart." He told her, holding her gaze with his own. "Barbossas son."
Vega sneered slightly, "Ooh, the snake." She growled. "I do detest him. Both father and son." She paused a moment, thinking about the Pearl still under their command. It brought a grin to her lips, "Now, now, I think I'll help you. But you've got to take me along."
Will wasn't really planning on brining someone on the trip. He narrowed his eyes but then he realised that if she was only a little as determined as her father was, she wouldn't give him the map unless he'd take her along.
"Alright.."
Vega held up a finger though, "A few rules though. We have to get a ship and crew in Tortuga. I'll pick 'em. And the map stays in my posession at all times." She grinned at him, "As long as you keep me near you, the map will be as well." She winked.
Will put his hand on her leg. "Oh, don't worry, I can stay near you." He nodded. "But I have another rule to add. You pick the crew, but I am in control if something gets out of hand.."
Vega grinned at him.
"Of course. I wouldn't dream of taking away your control, Will Turner."
"Good girl." Will smirked and stroke his hand over her leg. "We will leave tomorrow morning to sail to Tortuga, so make sure yer ready by then"
"I'm ready now, Will Turner."
Vega grinned at him and flicked his hand off her leg.
"Don't make me have to make a non-touching rule. I don't you'll enjoy that."
Will got of his seat and put some money onto the table for the barmaid. "Oh, neither would you either, sweety." He winked at her and turned around, "Tomorrow at dawn, at the docks." He called over his shoulder before leaving the tavern.

~4 days later~
It had only taken three days to get there, but Vega had insisted on not asking around for a crew until later that night. Captain Teague had always told her the best pirates come out at night, not sitting drunk all day in a tavern.
They needed a Captain first, followed with a relatively large crew that could easily pass through trecherous waves and waters. A crew that didn't exactly know where they were going would be best as well.
Posters on the wall read it best, printed up by Vega herself. Simple and easy for uneducated pirates:
Wanted
A captain and crew with a ship, willing to sail the high seas.
Report back to The Broken Handle tavern with everything you need for a 2 month voyage at sea.
Vega sat back at the table, putting her boots up on it and resting that way. It was nearing dark and she could easily tell some men were starting to show up for the voyage.
Good.
