"Is that what you feel like? That you're just shacked up with me?" Jeff asked, "You... I... I uh... I had... I had hoped it felt like home to you." He said quietly.

"It does!" Selina said. "I didnt mean it like that ... I meant, when I moved over here, I'd only known you a week or two, I was taking a great risk putting my life on hold for someone I barely knew. At the time it did feel like shacking up, but now I know you better .... it's home. Where ever you and Hannah are is my home," Selina said.

"Oh... That's good... I'm just glad it's gonna be a very long time before she's old enough to be thinking about boys!" Jeff smirked, "And I don't think I'll allow her to go out with boys until she's 16... and then I have to meet them... and they have to meet my toys... Maybe I'll have a shooting range added to the house so I can practice firing my guns when the boys come over, just so they know I can still shoot." Jeff laughed.

"Yes because that's teaching your daughter good habits. 'It's ok to play with guns if it's to intimidate other people'," Selina nudged Jeff jokingly. "I wish you were so obsessed with your toys, it really would make raising our daughter with at least some sanity a whole lot easier," She laughed.

"They're a part of my job Sugarbutt." Jeff said, "They've been a part of my life... they've kept me alive for most of my life. It's sort of become a part of me... I feel naked and vunerable if I'm not armed.... like my life is in danger. Side effect of the job..." He explained, "I'm sorry... I've... I've just... my guns have been what keeps me alive... Not having guns means certain death out in the field... I guess after such a long time out in the field, I'm kinda... for lack of a better word... paranoid, you know?"

"I know, it comes with the territory. I knew that when I moved in with you, I just wish you could leave work at the door when you come home at night ... but I know that's not possible. It's ok, I understand," Selina reassured.

"At least I have places to lock up all my guns... and once she starts crawling and walking around, I'm willing to stop sleeping with a gun under the pillow or on the bedside table." Jeff said, "I'll have to start weaning myself off it slowly... as my paranoia decreases.... once I'm no longer afr... uh... worried about... gun toting mariachis showing up at my door... "

"Ok..." Selina frowned, having never been told the mariachi part of his mission. "Because that's normal," She smirked and put her hands on the side of his face. "You're so silly, did you know that?" Selina teased.

"In Mexico... it is normal. I knew a gun toting mariachi... Actually I think there were 3 of them... though I only ever met El officially...." Jeff smirked, "And I sort of manipulated him into ah... service... A service he didn't exactly jump at the opertunity to get involved with... and in fact, when it came right down to it... he couldn't even get that right... he did exactly the opposite of what I asked him to do. So I'd say if I stayed in Mexico any longer than I did, he would have tried to finish me off." He smirked again.

"Good job I found you when I did then, isnt it?" Selina smirked.
