I shrug and shake my head. "No.." - I say, but then add to it "I don't think so." I look at her again, fear reading in my eyes. "I am not sure. Today there were about 20, maybe even 30, people going through the house. If they find something. Some trail or even the slightest clue.." - I stop for a moment, biting my lip.
Today was crazy. People were going through the house, looking for clues to find out who did the whole thing. They were surprised to see the door wasn't forced and that there was such a little mess. The killer seemed to know exactly what he or she was doing and where to find her victim.
".. it's a matter of time before they will find out someone from inside was part of the whole operation."

I purse my lips. Being noble is *not* typical for me, and I never save anyone's @ss unless I know that my own is safe. Why care for other people when your life is at stake? But this woman helped me... without her I would hardly have managed. I lick my lips, muttering a curse in Spanish, looking around the tavern nervously.
"They won't find out", - I say stubbornly. - "But we'll have to leave. The two of us. Just in case". Staying here will be the most stupid thing one could come up with. Leave this place. Immediately. As soon as possible.

The fear in my eyes turns to unbelieve. "we"? "the two of us"? Is she actually taking me with her? While going through that new option in my mind, I catch myself still holding the small parcel in my pocket. I keep it in my clenched fist for another moment and then let it go."
"I know.."
((Daz, I'll PM you what's going on till now!))

A rather short, heavily cloaked figure, enters the tavern. The cloak, and all of the clothes on the figure were drenched. They lowered the hood of a cloak. They was a she. She took a seat in a far darkened corner.

I look at her attentively, my eyes narrowed a bit. "If you think you 'ave a choice, then make it. I don't have a choice, sooner or later these b@stards will get on my trail, I must disappear", - I bite my lip slightly, thinking how exactly I am going to disappear... I need... a way out.
"We could go together, it would be easier for the both of us to stay safe", - I shrug.

(I read it all, so I suppose I have enough information? ;D I already love this rp! Great to see it started off! *enterrrrr JACK* haha, sorry for the hugeness.. I got carried away.)
As I walk the way from the docks towards the town, an annoyed grumble escapes my lips. It's raining, as it has over the past hour or so. First my large overcoat started to get soaked, followed by the other layers of clothing soon enough. And truth to be told, I'm getting d@mn cold in my attire by now.
The light of a tavern ahead makes my boots feel one hell of a lot lighter though, and I speeden up my pace considerably. The prospect of warmth and a good mug of grog can do that to a man whose luck hasn't been too good lately.
The Black Pearl, with aboard a fair load of smuggling goods, was well on her way to Figueira da Foz - Portugal, when a storm threw us off-course drastically. The raging weather went on for nearly a full week. The Pearl was miraculously undamaged, her crew all alive and well.. but our course more off-beat than I had expected. Instead of reaching Portugal within the expected amount of time, the lack of supplies forced us to sail through Gibraltar and eventually anchor in the bay of Málaga.
The port didn't have the reputation to be all too pirate-friendly, so most of me crew stayed behind on the ship. I didn't though. I had the supplies to gather, after all.
But of course, by now it's running late and my chances of finding any trade have shrunk considerably. Instead, I walk into the tavern with the intention to settle with a drink, and wait for dawn to come so we can soon set sail once again.
As I step over the taverns trashold I take a brief moment to look around the place, before I stroll towards the bar.
