Esmeralda Hirsch sat behind the counter of the small book store in San Fransico called McCambridge's Books Choice. Esmeralda looked at her watch, it read 9:06 PM. Esmeralda finished off putting the last three books in there place on the self. Mrs. McCambridge was out of town for the next three weeks so it was Esmeralda's responsiblity to come open the book store stay there from eight in the morning to nine at night. There weren't many people who shopped here, but it was enough to keep the place open. Esmeralda had kept the store open for an hour longer than she was suppose to, she took off her nametag and got her purse from the back room. Esmeralda exited from the front door, she opened her purse for the keys and she locked it. Living in the suburbs made it easy for Esmeralda, she could walk to where ever she wanted nothing was really far from her small one story home. Esmeralda lingered at the book shop door... she seemed to have forgotten something, but she decided it was getting late and she would remember tomorrow. Esmeralda then began walking to her home, the street was cold, dark, and quiet. The only sound was coming from Esmeralda's black high heeled boots. Esmeralda didn't know why but she had the uneasy feeling of someone watching her. She stopped to take a look around...

Lestat slipped into the shadows. He didn't do this often. He only followed mortals that intrigued him. He flipped his purple lensed sunglassed up on his head, his piercing blue eyes looking at the woman from the shadows with interest. He didn't want to kill her,she was apparently good,he'd slifted through her mind every night so far. He'd seen the vampire hunter part and the fact she'd never seen a real one. He smirked, tonight might be her lucky night.

Esmeralda did what she usually did when she sensed something out of the ordinary, she reached for her golden heart, a necklace she had gotten the day of her birth from her parents. Esmeralda then realized she didn't have it on, she knew she forgot something. Esmeralda thought to herself that she was going to find it tomorrow moning in the back room... hopefully. Esmeralda tired to act as though nothing was bothering her, she tried to keep a steady pace, she wanted to rush home and lock herself in. Esmeralda countinued walking but she couldn't help having that uneasy feeling.

Lestat lept into a tree close to the house, alighting without a sound, and waited for her to come upstairs. He had her necklace, having seen it fall off back there. He jumped to the roof.A slight sparkle erupted in his eye, oh yes cherie, you'll get your vampire tonight,The Vampire.... He thought, laughing silently to himself.

Esmeralda reached into her purse and pulled out her keys to open the door. Esmeralda sighed, she hated going home, she was alone all the time. Esmerlada entered the house set down her purse and keys on the table next to the door. Esmerald's house was black, pure black, everything from the walls to the floor was black, but nicely decorated with style. Extremely tired and worn out Esmeralda set up the stairs, she went into the bedroom. The light was off... she didn't bother turning it on, she headed into the bathroom. Esmeralda cleaned herself up for bed and putting on her night gown that wasn't to conservitive, but it really didn't matter to her she lived alone and no one was going to see her. Esmeralda was going to tie up her flaming red hair when she remembered she'd left the hair ties in her room on the dresser. Esmeralda walked over to the light and turned it on to see something unexpected...

Selena stood on the roof of the library. She was well hidden in the shadows, behind a statue. No one could see her, unless they were up there as well. Her short, curly, black hair covered up her piercing blue eyes. Her black leather clothing were skin tight on her body. They showed every curve, every cress, every angle of her frame. Most men that saw her, instantly fell in love, but she would just end up killing them. A bitter love perhaps? She didn't really care. She was cruel that way, yet she showed the slightest bit of compassion for a very select few. Her closest allies. She never used the term 'friends.' She thought it was best to never get too attached to anyone. It just made letting them go even harder for her. She had learned that the hard way when she was young... Her family... Shaking the horrid memories out of her mind, Selena watched as several people passed by the library. Entering, and exiting some time or another. Humans were so dull to her... Nothing interesting ever happened with them. All they did was eat, sleep, and move on with life. She was looking for something worth her while. An adventure. She had found one once, with a very close 'partner' named Michel. He was gone now. She hadn't seen him in months. Or was it years... It didn't really matter. He was with his own kind now. Werewolves... Selena had nothing to do with them, so she would leave him be. Let him lead his own life, without her. But now she was faced with a new problem. She needed to find something to keep her busy! But what?

Rasputin deeply sighed, looking around him with impatience. He had come in America (Ahmehrrricah , he used to say with his russian accent) in airplane (he hated his experience), then had literaly run out of it when he had arrived. San Francisco, as he had been told many times in Russia, was incredibly... Ahmehricahn. The tall, grey buildings had first scared him, for it was the first time he saw those, but quickly disgusted him. He missed his Russia more than ever, now, alone in a dark street, where was supposed to stand the 'McCambridge's Books Choice'! No need to say he was obviously lost. But in fact, as he looked more closer to the shops around, it was just next to him. But it was closed. Closed! Closed? He let out a scream of frustration. That wasn't in his plans! He wanted to take THE thing he had come for, and just...get out of here! He tried to calm down, to take deep breaths...He suddenly sensed something in te air, something that...that he had dreaded...One of his race, one particularly famous... "Lestat." He muttered, feeling an intense panic filling his veins, from head to toes.

Esmeralda turned on the light to see her black cat, Ruth, hissing on the edge of her bed. "Ruth! What's wrong?" Ruth countinued hissing madly. Esmeralda reached out to grab Ruth of her bed. Esmeralda scratched Ruth behind his ears, "Come on Ruth, time for you to go to your bed," Esmeralda, still holding Ruth in her hands, went down stairs bare foot into the living room. Esmeralda set Ruth down on her bed, "No stay there I'm very tired and I need to get my rest," Esmeralda turned off the living room light... she hesitated in returning upstairs. Esmeralda shook off the feeling and began her way up the stairs.

Taila walked along the streets she didn't really have anything to do. She pretty much did what she wanted, she had no one to tell her not to. Talia had been going to steal something from a young man but she'd suddenly felt nervous, she never had problems stealing from people before be now she felt like someone was watching her. The hair on her neck prickled. Something evil was in the air.
