Lestat slammed on the brakes,hitting whatever had been in front of the car, "MON DIEU!" he yelled,jumping out,coming face to face with another vampire,his eyes blood red from feeding too much. His Porsche had a man sized dent in the hood of it,thus angering him more.The other jumped Lestat,taking both of them to the ground. Lestat jumped up,taking the man into a brick wall that seperated the road from a vacant lot,the wall,Lestat,and the vampire went down in dusty red heaps. Lestat came out,about twenty minutes later,strieghtening his coat and not a scratch on him, leaving the vampire laying there with two pin-pricks in his throat,dead. "Now," he said,opening the hood of his car,popping the framing back in," Where to?"

"Oh well I get to choose?Aw well lets see, oh yes, Karma."she said with a mischevious grin.She reffered to the underground bar that served blood shots.Her eyes glowed just thinking about it.

Lestat knew of the bar,he only went on occasions,not liking to mingle with the younglings that frequented it.He turned down the alleyway that led to the entrance. Not many mortals knew of it. He himself hadn't heard of it since the beginning of last year. "Why Karma?" he asked.

Marishca smiled."Why not Karma?Perfect place to get blood the neat way."she said.When they parked she slid out and took of her leather jacket, tossing it into the car.She looked over at Lestat with a smirk."Shall we?"

Lestat got out,taking her arm as they went in. He opened the door for her. Surveying the scene that appeared purple from behind his sunglasses. He got stares from the younglings already seated in there,hearing murmurs of "Lestat?" and "is that really him?The legend!" he smirked slightly,guiding Marishka over to a back table.

Marishca smiled at Lestat."How gentlemen like.Now your reputation with me is almost complete."she said, touching his hand slightly.The waitor came immeadiatley when they sat down."What would you like?"he anxiously asked.Marishca rolled her eyes and said,"A round of blood shots and what would you like?"she asked Lestat teasingly.

Meanwhile, Alice had turned to Rasputin and the other vampire. "What is your name?" she asked the one carefully. She then received glimpses of Esmeralda planning to leave, Lestat stopping her, Marishca showing up, and Esmeralda and Talia still leaving. She sighed. She then addressed Rasputin saying, "Do you think we should go with the others on the quest against Dracula, or wait patiently for their return?" She smiled when she said this and spoke with a slightly sarcastic air.

Esmeralda arrived in L.A. two hours later, the whole time pondering on what to do. Esmeralda got on Interstate 10, she was heading for Texas. Esmeralda didn't know why, she didn't even know where "Dracula" was. Esmeralda had a feeling in Texas she would find out where he was.

Lestat looked at the waiter, "Nothing," he said,he didn't care for the bars. He preferred hunting rather than ordering, "I've already had my fill tonight."

Esmeralda was about crossing the border of California to Arizona. Esmeralda was getting tired, she felt dazed, the murders of her family repeating over in her head. Next thing Esmeralda knew she heard a crash, she was upside down... blood dripping down her head. An ambulance was coming closer, then she saw a flash light bright on her face... Esmeralda blacked out after that...
