Alexandra Damian walked out of her class and into the sunny weather of South Carolina. It was a Tuesday and it had rained all weekend, but now it was starting to dry up and get humid out with the sun shining. She wore a pair of dark green cargo pants and a black t-shirt that had green lettering on the front that said 'Bold'. Her hair was wild and uncombed. She'd worn a beany to class that morning, but now with the sun out, it was too hot to still have it on. She had a bookbag on her left hip, filled with her science book, where she'd just come from and her history book-- where she was headed now. She didn't like being a Freshmen and having to take the basic courses. She couldn't wait until she got to take more Vet classes, instead of this history, math, science, and english bullshit. It'd been over two months since school had started and it was just the beginning of October now, and Alex despised some of the people at the University. The people that went to parties more than they studied and always brown-nosed or fucking slept with the professors to get good grades. Fuckers. She had the urge to skip history class, but she'd skipped last week and that wasn't any good if she wanted to graduate. She would much rather go back to her dorm (where she unfortunately had to share with her bitchy roommate) and write more on the story she was coming up with. It was too good to pass up sometimes, and she'd stayed up late last night, finishing the first few chapters. Just get through class, then I don't have anything until tomorrow. Alex entered the classroom and took her seat near the front, ignoring the rude boys at the back that made sexual comments to her as she walked by. "Jerks..." She muttered under her breath and took a seat, pulling out her history book and starting to read until class started.

Thomas walked through the hall towards the classroom where he'd have history class ...in exactly.... 20 seconds His black shoes were shiney (they always looked newly polished) and matched his black pants, his white shirt with buttons didn't have one stain on it and his back-combed hair was how it should. The girls he passed on his way gave longing looks after him, but right now he didn't think about it at all, he had other things on his mind; talking to his proffesor in history class. He was doing good in all classes of course, but not in History. He got inside the classroom at the same time as the professor did and he sat down in the middle of the classroom.
"Alright, class starts, so put away your novels, games or whatever you are occupied with and pick up your history books..." he looked through some papers. "Thomas Bradley"
"Yes, sir?"
He looked up and saw him straight away. "Need a word with you"
He sighed quietly "Yes.."
"The rest of you continue from where we left off last time"

Thomas Bradley. Alex thought of the name with disgust. What a jerk. And what a suck-up asshole. She hated kids like him that came in and think that just because their parents are rich, they don't have to work at all. She could easily imagine the type of guy we was even though she'd never spoken face to face with him. She was sure he had a hand in giving her geeky nicknames like everybody else. Only an hour and a half to get through. She started to read again, ignoring how when the professor walked away with Thomas most of the class put down their books and started to chat instead.

Outside of the classroom he turned to Thomas and sighed "I don't know what's happening, but you're not doing good in this class, Thomas"
"Yeah..well... I guess everybody's got to have something they're less good in" he tried
"hm. But this is a really important subject, which you can't fail and I'm sorry to say that you're risking to fail miserably in this class. What happened on the last test for example? You scored 1 point. 1 point, Thomas..."
He sighed and licked his lips, but before he could say anything, the professor said; "But there is hope, believe it or not. I'm going to give you a tutor"
"....a tutor?"
"A tutor. Another student to help you out, to give you the little push I think you need"
He smirked "You think I need a tutor?"
"Everything points towards that, yes, if you don't want to fail. And I think I know that you don't want that to happen, right?"
"....who would be my tutor then?" he acted careless, but interested, when he really just wanted to laugh out loud at this..it was ridiculous!
"Alexandra"
"....I'm sorry, who?"
"Alexandra Damian...?" he sighed when Thomas didn't seem to connect.. "You've been going to several classes with her! Brown curly hair, glasses?"
Oh dear god save me! He put on a big fake smile "Oh, her! Alexandra! Yes, of course..umm.."
"She's one of the best students I have and I can't imagine you'd fail with some help from her! I will tell her right away!" he opened the door
He tried to get his attention quickly agian.. "Umm, Mr. Jonsson..!" but too late..
He opened the door and looked at Alex. "Alexandra? A word, please?" he smiled
"Oh, fuck...!" he muttered under his breath but then smiled broadly as the professor turned to him again
"I'm sure she would love to help out. She's such a sweet girl"
He smiled a big fake smile "Of course"

Alex looked up from her book with a frown, but she nodded and got up, putting her book down near her bag. She got up and headed to where the teacher was, going in through the door and pausing when she saw Thomas. No denying he's handsome. But a jerk non-the-less. "Yes, Mister Jonsson?"

"come, come" he motioned for her. "You're one of my top students, Alexandra, so I would like you to give a little helping hand to Thomas here...in history class"
"It's really not---"
He didnt listen "I think you would be a perfect tutor for him in history-class, to give him that little push that he needs to make this class" he smiled. "You wouldn't mind, would you?"
He sighed, rolled his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest and didn't bother trying to argue back, since apparently this was already set and done Fucker! He looked at Alex now, from head to toe. Sure, she was a pretty girl... Maybe if she removed those glasses... ...but a boring geek nonetheless..

Alex paused a moment, staring at the professor. "What? I mean... you want me to tutor him?" She pointed at Thomas, not looking at him though. "Are you sure? I mean, I could, but..." Need an excuse! Need an excuse! "Are you sure you want me to do it?"

"Of course! Come on, give a helping hand, Alexandra" he smiled. "Good! All set! Let's go back to class, I will just hand out some new papers and then you can start studying together" he looked at Thomas "The sooner for you, the better" he opened the door and walked back to class
Thomas looked after him, then glanced at Alex and smirked slightly, shaking his head and walked back into class, sitting down by his desk again as the proffesor started handing out some papers. When he got to Thomas he said; "Take this chance, Thomas. I don't want to fail you"
The students started working, some sitting in groups

Alex took a seat where she'd originally been at the front. She really, REALLY didn't want to help this kid at all. She wasn't going to move-- if he wanted help, he'd have to come to her and she wasn't going to be happy about it either.

He glanced towards Alex, but then concentraded on the sheet of paper he had infront of him
He looked at them. "Thomas"
He looked up at him
He nodded towards Alex
He sighed and got up from his chair and took his books and sat down by the desk beside her. Some classmates glanced at him and some started whispering or smirking. Seeing Thomas sitting with a 'geek girl' was highly unusual. He mostly hung out with the rest of the 'so called snobs' or just by himself. He cleared his throat "Right..."
