As we were creeping into the shaddows, I heard footsteps. I motioned for Alexis to stay back and I steadied myself for the nearing attack.

Alexis heard her mortal heart pounding in her ears so loudly-- she was sure that everyone nearby would be able to hear it. She couldn't help it though, feeling excitment build in her so much that she wanted to run with her mother into the attack she felt was coming.

I kept my eyes on Alexis, being sure she wasn't about to be foolish. I crouched into an attack position as the footsteps neared the turn, the turn of death.

Aden and Alice were making their way over to Carmen and Alexis, trying to keep a distance big enough, but they failed.
Aden kept coming closer and closer. He actually wanted to stop his daughter from feeding, shake Carmen back and forth to get her to realise she was murdering innocent people just to satisfy herself. He wanted to somehow safe his daughter from a life time of killing and having to go through cravings so strong that they'd become unbearable..

the moment aden stepped too close, I felt his presence. I paused, faultering, and the couple I had intended to feed upon, began to pass. Their scent was heavenly, and I longed for their blood, but I couldn't draw away from the presence I felt. My attention swayed away from Alexis and I no longer kept my eye on her.

Alexis didn't sense as well as other vampires and she kept her blood red eyes on the couple, able to see and smell them now perfectly. She licked her lips and on impulse and the insatiable need for blood in her hunger she leapt out of the shadows at the man that was closest, biting into his leg since it was the only thing she could reach up to.

My anger once again took me over, "What the f*** are you doing here! I told you to never come near us again!" My mind was completely lost and my thoughts no where near Alexis, I had no idea of the danger she was in.

Alexis sunk her teeth into his skin, but she barely had the taste of his blood in her mouth before he roughly kicked her away with a shout.
"What the hell!?" He limped slightly, taking his arm away from wife when something bit into his leg. At first instinct he kicked it away roughly, only pausing when he got a good look at the face of the little girl he'd kicked away. "What the hell is that thing!?"
Alexis whimpered slightly when she fell onto her back roughly, a bit of blood on her teeth and dribbling down her chin.
