A Search for Freedom

[Lana]

Jack rolled his eyes: "I am not a saviour and I've never been one. Have anythin' to pay with? Then we might have some negotiations".

[Lauren]

"And here I was, thinking you might have a least a small piece of kindness in your black heart," I dug around in my pockets and found 3 coins and the solid gold ring my father gave me when I was born. I quickly shoved the ring back in my pocket so Jack wouldn't see it and gave him the coins. "I know it's not a lot, but tomorrow morning I was going to sell the ships I used to get here ... you can have whatever I get for it," I shrugged, knowing he wasnt going to be happy.

[Lana]

He laughed sarcastically: "Oh sure, that's even more than enough for givin' ye a ride around the world. Twice", - he snorted, taking a sip from his bottle of rum. - "Where d'ye want me to leave ye?"

[Lauren]

I froze. I didnt actually know where I wanted to go, I'd never thought that far ahead. I shrugged. "Anywhere. As far away from here as possible!" I slumped down on the edge of his bed, picking at my nails.

[Lana]

"What about..." - Jack stroke his beard, pretending to be thoughtful, - "... the first uninhabited island we come across, eh?"

[Lauren]

"Uninhabited does sound tempting." I said, not looking up from my nails. "But I think it would get a bit boring, dont you? With only seaturtles for company?" I smirked, I'd heard the stories. "Then again, I could run around naked all day and nobody would be able to stop me. I'd be totally free to do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. What do you think?"

[Lana]

Hearing the reference to seaturtles, Jack smirked slightly. "I'd drop by ter see yer naked".

[Lauren]

"Awww how sweet," I stood up and smiled, straighting out my clothes. "Maybe you could keep me company once in a while too, eh?"

[Lana]

"I was gonna do it tonight until ye decided to threaten me with me own pistol", - he smirked.

[Lauren]

"Actually it was you who threatened me first," I smirked, "but I'm sorry if I ruined your plans,"
