"Gold, son. Unheard of amounts of gold and jewels." He said. Naomi tried her best to suppress a grin, but it broke free. Jack waggled a finger at her, though. "Don't get too excited, missy. Thew crew only gets 10%, and that's if we find it."
"Oh..." Naomi frowned, but it vanished as soon as it came. She didn't care how much she got, so long as she was able to at least hold a gold piece in her hands.

The HMS Cutter anchored beside the shattered and broken mass of what was once the Hammer, its mast, sails and rigging a useless knotted mess floating along with numerous other debris in the waters. The Cutter's captain watched from his ship as the remains were searched, shaking his head at the amount of damage done. He could not believe the Hammer had been defeated, as she had been a formidable vessel of war.
The captain turned to his number one, a look of hate - and a small bit of fear - etched across his face. "Load the boats and make ready. Full canvas. Our heading is Port Royal." He paused. "They need to know what happened here."

"Aye, captain. But who could have done so much damage?" The other man asked, shaking his head. To see any ship from their fleet so horribly maimed made them hurt a little inside, but anger was sweeping over the crew like wild fire. ~*~ It took only a few hours to reach the target island, that which looked awfully... creepy. It was fairly large, but there were islands much bigger. In the middle sat a tall mountain of a dreary gray color, but gray was a theme on this island. The trees were bent and worn from age, like dripping watercolors on a canvas. A mist had formed along the ground, like spirits roaming the worlds they wouldn't truly exist in. Naomi felt her stomach knot as she and half of the crew took the longboat out. "What is this place?" She asked. Mr. Cotton, who was rowing- his parrot the only splash of color against the gray- leaned over to the side to she could see Jack. His lips curled into a nasty smirk when she asked this. "The Island of Regret." Jack said.

The captain pursed his lips. "Pirates, Number One. T'was pirates. And I'll bet my rank it was Sparrow and his Pearl, for that is the most formidable vessel among them - and the only one I would think could smash the Hammer." He suppressed a shudder, watching as the EITC flag, once a proud ornament atop the Hammer's sails, slowly sank below the waves.

Will, who was also rowing, shot a doubting look at Jack without breaking stride. "The Island of Regret? That sounds promising."
Kaleb was inclined to agree, peering up at the bleak mountain as he sat beside Naomi.

"Bloody pirates..." ~*~ "Why do you think no one's found the treasure? Everyone's done something they regret, and it's brought to them by the spirits on the island. No one is able to withstand the guilt, so they leave." Jack said. Naomi frowned and bit her lower lip, looking to the bottom of the boat, "Why aren't you scared?" "I don't regret anything I've done." Jack said, shrugging. Naomi's heart was feeling heavier the closer they got to the island. She thought about the men she killed, and ho bad she had felt. But did she regret it? Naomi had no idea, but she wasn't keen on finding out.

Will raised a brow. "Nothing? I find that a little hard to believe, even for you. We've all done things we've come to regret. Sooner or later, our pasts come back to haunt us." he finished quietly, seeming to get lost in his own thoughts for a moment.

"Nothing." Jack repeated just as their boat made land. He and a few of him men left the boat, dragging it on land so the tide didn't wash it away. Naomi was reluctant in getting off, though she dragged herself off.
"Which way?" Gibbs asked, scanning the area. Jack flicked out his compass, waiting for the needle to spot. It did, and so they had their direction. Naomi took Kaleb's hand and kept close to him, her eyes darting around.

Kaleb gave Naomi's hand a gentle squeeze, then leaned close to speak softly to her, his eyes also taking in their new surroundings. "Do you want to carry a weapon, love? I got me pistols, or a dagger....I know how carryin' something of that sort can make you feel a trifle better." He too, felt a sense of foreboding, suddenly beginning to wonder in joining Sparrow's crew was the best of ideas.

"Please..." Naomi said, holding her hand out. Jack his on hand on the hilt of his blade while the other held his still open compass, his feet leading him where he wanted to go. And while he lead his crew through the ash like sands, his men would stop and stare at the mist. They formed and melted into familiar shapes, their faces paling.

Kaleb gave a nod and released her hand, reaching for a pistol and the dagger, which was in a small sheath on his belt. "Here. Take both, and keep them." He placed the weapons into her hands and gently pushed them towards her. "I'll still have your back, but having those with you certainly couldn't hurt, eh?"
As he followed the crew, Will glanced to his right - and stopped dead in his tracks. A mist had formed over the beach, and within it he swore he saw the shape of a person....a woman. Will's brow furrowed, remembering that Jack had claimed this island was uninhabited, but then the woman's form took on more detail, the mist clearing in such a way that he could see her face. It was his mother. His heart skipping a beat, he fought to catch his breath. "Mum...?" he whispered.
